Arse tomorrow and for some inexplicable, crazy reason I feel confident – not worried about the game! Is that because anyone, other than a Villa fan, expect Arse to win? I don’t know.
There is something different about Villa this season – call me bonkers – but Canadian Pete alluded to a change in mentality that makes us ‘dangerous’ even though we’ve had to shop in Home Bargains!
Anyway, I’m saying we won’t lose tomorrow – I feel we can win it with Ollie showing he’s getting back to his best and Onana starting to show why we spent £50m on him (worth reading Unai’s comments on Onana in his press briefings – also reveals how Emery thinks). I really think we can do something special this season.
So, at the risk (as Badger might say) of throwing a massive spanner in the works, I’m going for a win!

I’m more minded to go for the draw. Beating Arsenal is just a step too far, I feel.
I’ve already predicted them to win the league weeks ago, but that said, I don’t think they’re any great shakes and are very beatable. The negative side of me thinks we’re not good at all, but the facts are undeniable. We’re the form team and I’m very much the pragmatist/scientist type of thinker.
If I was betting man, thinking with my head, I’d go with the Gunners,
Betting with my heart, we’ve won this.
Add them up and it’s a draw.
Could be 1-1, but I suspect 2-2 is more likely and that’s what I’m going for.

I was going to add my thoughts about dynamic pricing at the world cup, but it’s easily summed up.
Disgusting and now there’s no trying to hide what the game is about any more.

Part of me is tempted to wonder how much money will find it’s way into the hands of utter crooks.

Currently on my way to Villa Park for this mammoth tie. Hopes eternal. If the aggressive forward passing Villa turn up, we can win. If our passive version takes the field we will loose.
I think we’ll win today. Arsenal have Mosquera and Saliba both out. It would have been nice to hear Rice and Saka have come down with food poisoning overnight but you can’t have everything.
Mings and Barkley aside, I think we have a full squad to choose from. We’re waiting on Emi but I don’t think this is a game he’ll want to miss after all, he’s a big game player.
I dread to think how much time Emery has spent analysing the current Arsenal set up for this game. One he will REALLY want to win no matter how he downplays it.
I also think Ollie will be looking to continue his scoring streak after his brace on Wednesday. Digne will start as he’s the better defender. I can see Onana with his powerful presence attempt to dominate the centre of the park. And I hope Super John McGinn has had his Scotch Porridge Oats this morning. Cash, Konsa, Chesty and Youri are also on fire. Wow, we have a great squad!!!
As it’s coming up to Christmas, am I allowed to throw caution to the wind and say I think we’ll dominate Arsenal today, surprise the media and rip them a new one?

This is, I think, the best team I’ve seen at Villa since Sir Ron’s league winning side and ultimately the European Cup.
What an end to a game i almost burst a blood vessel in the last minute when that ba.. was bouncing around like a pin ball.
This is a game I wish could have afforded to go to.
I swear I thought I could see the roof lift up from the ariel shot when we scored even the lights almost blew out.
I thought the Brighton game was the best but this was even better what a game.
