“Saddened” is happy with Tom Fox;
I have just watched the interview with Tom Fox, our new CEO and I must say what a welcome breath of fresh air – he is open, tells us where the club needs to change and where he (and Randy) would like to see us. I thought he may be our best signing of the summer- but this, I think proves it.
He talked about investment and the way Randy has seen we need to invest – I really do not think he would have joined us unless there are proper funds available…And mentioned how Randy wants to enjoy being a fan once more and ‘have fun’. He also talked about how the club needs to change how we make football decisions, and get us back to where we should be – he even mentioned 6-10th in the premiership.
I appreciate some of the interview may be spin, but I have to say I think he appeared honest, told us where he wants us to be, and explained how he thinks we can get there.
After all the silence and crap from fatty, I have to say this is a welcome relief. Randy is going nowhere, because after getting rid of Faulkner he can see that this great club can roar once more..
The truth is I thought Fox was just another bean counter.
But it does seem he knows a bit about the game.
And he’s done more in five minutes than fatty did in all the time he was here.
I quite like the bloke, from what I’ve seen/heard up to now.
Agree, he does look good for the club and a whole lot better than fatty. If he is as good as he seems and people say he is, we may well be on the way back up and if this club starts to look the goods again, I bet Lerner will stay and reinvest.

Always in a different class to our former CEO. Arsenal have operated profitably for a number of years; coincidence? I doubt it. RL seemed genuinely surprised and almost honoured that Tom Fox agreed to join us. Now we have two good and strong pairings leading both the club and the team. Cue OohAh 🙂
He’s OK our Oohah Hitchen 60, gets on your tits a few times but you and I can give as much back as he gives, 🙂 yes Fox think next year with him at the head of discussions, we will start to pick up pace on other clubs, having him was a stroke of good fortune for us.
yep they also had 7 years of failure with a team and manager streets ahead of ours. Who wants to be the richest team in the graveyard ffs
Last week I spoke to some Arsenal fans and they said Fox turned their club around to make it the financial structure it is now, my concern is season ticket price increases is what supported that improvement, at the moment we have a good average price compared to other clubs may it remain, my thoughts are it won’t if the improvements are needed.
Now that’s a thought VTID, is that the plan given time , prices? but then again London cost of living is greater than the midlands, I just hope that’s not the motive behind him coming.
I think Fox is a great signing and I believe it does show long term commitment from Lerner. There I nothing better than seeing people at the helm of the club you love who want it to be just as successful.
Tie will tell and we will see during the winter window, as I believe we will be poking our toe in.
well game day HELLO
just cos oohahahaha’s on the run, shouldn’t affect our game preview
off to shop hope one appears when i return 🙂
p,s please
Oh but it does, 🙂
