Aston Villa left-back Enda Stevens has joined League 1 side Notts County on a short-term loan deal. Stevens is one of the players that Paul Lambert has been looking to ship out, Stevens move was confirmed before the League Cup game against Liverpool, which he featured in the place of injured Alan Sheehan.
The 23-year old full-back has made 9-first team appearances for Aston Villa last season, he joined from Shamrock Rovers.
When Stevens played I didn’t think he was a bad player, sure he was missing experience but he wasn’t much worse than Bennett last season, but it appears with the signing of Antonio Luna, his first team opportunities where now going to be very rare, especially since Bennett is above him in the pecking order. But I do wish Stevens luck at Notts County and I hope he impresses his team enough, that they bid for his services during the January transfer window.
