Significant Share Movement at Villa

The document is not on Companies House yet but I have got from another source a very significant share allocation document.

Remember I posted a couple of weeks ago RAL (Reform Acquisitions Limited) who owns Villa had lifted the restrictions on the number of shares to be held.

Well an Allotment of Shares document was posted on the 18/12/13 showing that £90million of shares had been allotted. This took the total shares at Villa to £223 million and thus above the original £200M that we did have.

You ask – so what ??

Well previously when shares had been allotted this was in effect money put into the club usually by randy in swapping debt for shares at usually £5M a go. This is £90 MILLION we are talking about and if this is the same as before would wipe out a large chunk of the debt in one go.

Or it could be investment into the club ….

As I suggested when we saw the share lift that was more than just tidying up the books, it allowed for this move ……

Either way this is good news –

If wiping off a large % of the debt then wages can be increased

If it is an investor then it means more money

It’s been bought to my attention since last night that the site has been as slow as toast.

I’ve tried a few things and would appreciate people telling me if it’s any better please.

    Cheers chaps 🙂

    1. I thought it was my connection badger, was slow up until this afternoon for me but it’s all good now.

  2. Badger, you are right the site is very slow atm. From my point of view your changes haven´t improved. We are nearly so slow than the play of our first team.

Ok lads, cheers for the replies.
I’ve cleaned up the data base, reinstalled WP and raised a ticket with the host.
I’ve just seen a “couldn’t connect to the database” error, so assume they’ve just re-booted the server or something.

I’d appreciate if you can keep me updated lads, as I never know if the site’s running slow or it’s just the crap Wifi in my digs.

    Whatever, we’re on the case.

    Cheers.

Was slow for me last night but been fine all day…

  7. Interesting to read that some people believe that Doug Ellis still has involvement at Aston Villa, I had the privilege to meet Mr Ellis about three years ago, he was in the present of Garry Newbone who from what I could see never leaves his side. He told me then that through 3 major operations over them number of months that his memories of the days at Villa was not very good. He still has a office at the club but its mostly for the love of Villa, you have to remember he is a major share holder of Manor Breweries and I believe Chairman of the board, Doug Ellis is frail person now and I don’t think that he would hold much clout other than watch his investment and agreement on selling the club. Remember their was a lot of assets sold to Lerner and was agreed not to spit them up. All that is my understanding of Doug and Aston Villa today,

    1. I don;t care about Ellis (apart from those who wish to revise history and claim he saved us) but Lerner owns the club lock, stock and barrel he is the ultimate responsibility, If he is taking tips from Ellis then that shows how stupid Lerner is.

Site is fine this morning Badger. Tried to post last night but gave up as too slow.

  9. Yawn Yawn Shares blah blah blah, Randy’s a twat, Ellis is a bigger twat, more Blah Blah Blah.

On a more important note, have we signed anybody yet?

    1. Bill tells me now Robo is a bloody idiot mate.

      1. Hi Bill all this talk of shares equity and the likes bores me to tears, to be honest I haven’t the slightest interest in the politics just the football. .

        1. What gets me BWS he was ready to practically jump of Aston Bridge until our two brave owners came in now he’s taking over again his assumption of what’s going on, he doesn’t lissen to people he over powers them with his believe, please go back into hiding Robot , at least it was free site to talk.

Sorry Bill, there was more freedom of opinion under Robo than the current owners I’m afraid.

  10. Looks like the Hoolahan deals off.I wasn’t to keen anyway.Theres experience then theres experience on the cheap just to say hes an experienced player. There are better AM outhere its just bringing em in……I want to see a quality experienced player of ability that has had CL experience and also a medal winner of some sort.CM is also where we need this sort of quality along with CB.Come on Villa catch up….UTV

  11. Jd not to sure we’ve heard the last of the hoolahan link mate,it happens alot offers & deals fall flat on their arse then wallop.i don’t for one minute think he never put a transfer req in.you watch he’ll go public next saying norwich won’t let him leave.

  12. We wont sign anyone until deadline day my bet.

  13. Adam i totally agree mate it’s going to be alot of panic buying at the last minute.

    1. which is mad seeing as we have a string of very losable games in which a few additions may have proved very handy!

      1. Tell me about it mate,i was hopeing for a signing before the arse game.yes we’ve got some darling games coming up with injuries in defence im dreading it.cricket scores he we come arse & shitty pay back big time.

        1. That defence is shite apart from Vlaar. If he’s fit the others seem to play better but they still drop clangers now and again. Arse and City on fire cant see anything but a couple of hammerings if im honest. Damage limitation I think.

          1. Yes mate hopefully keep it down to 6. 🙂 shitty are averaging 4 every home game.shite

The Birmingham mail are doing an online survey for the season so far, if the board dont take notice of forums they do surveys in the main local rag

  16. If we get stuffed by Arsenal we will panic buy if we win Lambert / Lerner will think we can get to the end of the season with the squad we have.

  17. we’ll beat arsenal 3-1

    UTV

    1. I’ll have whatever your on bob,it must do the job mate.

    2. No chance

  18. word on facebook red bull offered £180 million but Lerner turned it down

    1. Well Villa is estimated at 200 million plus on today’s market. I would think he would aim for that type of money.

      1. Having said that with the China investment into Birmingham being talked about that might open a few doors for Villa.

    2. If only Red Bull were interested in Villa and bid, we can all dream. Get some pride back in the club, would happily be behind Red Bull Villa, would love to see a team and club that doesn’t bring shame and embarrassment on itself on a weekly basis.

The last thing I want to see is a company like Red Bull buying the Villa. Can you imagine, potential stadium name change and team name change to incorporate the brand! Would be the sad sad days for our club.

    1. And on the other hand, we’d have a great team, the backing of a successful worldwide brand and a fresh approach. And best of all, no mumbling Lamberk and no unambitious Lerner, that itself would be cause for mass celebration.

don’t get me wrong belcs, the reasons you mentioned are great! If branding was litmited to shirt and placards I’d be all for it. A bit wary is all with huge brands like that. 100% ownership and they can do what they want with Villa for their own business purposes.

  20. two months ago everyone was saying no way but after the recent run of results its starting to look attractive. i’m not saying that the latest form is deliberate or anything just so we accept red bull more easily

  21. 180M (if correct) is pretty low, especially given the amount money Lerner has put in – plus inflation over the years. Plus, with the increase in tv revenue and overall interest in the EPL worldwide, any owner would be a fool to accept such an offer. The league is completely different from when he first took over.

As for Red Bulls, I think it would a travesty for the club, league, and game if they had taken over. To be honest, anyone wishing they did take over is better off supporting another team, because that is ultimately what we would all be doing if they had – Red Bull Villa. What a joke.

I could handle Aston Villa Red Bulls and a claret/blue kit with their logo on but thats it. Going white and red and a stadium name change would royally suck.

  23. Fuck off red bull, the Villa is OURS

What if they called us Aston Villa Red Bull? That’s not so bad is it.

    1. What if they changed the name “Red Bull” to “Aston Villa” and changed all their branding to claret and blue. I reckon Aston Villa Team F1 has a certain ring to it.

Blimey, I’d rather trust my 3yo grandaughter’s opinion than something that came off Facebook.

Who would be high up enough to know about this and stupid enough to open their trap about it?

    Load of bollox, imo.
