Scott Sinclair on loan?

The first big rumour has emerged regarding a player coming to the Villa and not leaving the club.

Scott Sinclair is being well covered by most sport related outlets as being in advanced talks regarding a loan move to the Villa.

Scott Sinclair moved to Manchester City from Swansea for 6.2M and unfortunately, the club had no intentions of using him on the field as he rarely got a look in before moving to to West Brom for a season loan where he again made very little appearances and virtually no impact.

The true form was while he was at Swansea where he scored 28 goals in 74 league games. If we could bring him in and he recaptured this form, then we would be on to something great, but I have my reservations about these types of signings as they are very much hit an miss.

Exactly BWS, start with the manager and coaching, who ever we get won’t matter till they are out. Today’s score 2-1 Villa..

2-1? In the normal world of Villa (pre – Lerner’s austerity) this would have been a given, maybe 4-0 but in these strange times who knows?

Team selection looks better for me. Fonz playing for Blackpool may feel he has a point to prove. I think we might win this one despite failing miserably against lower league opposition so often recently.

As for Sinclair, he looks like one of those whose career has gone badly astray. I would be concerned that he wouldn’t return to previous form. We desperately need players who can dribble past the opposition to give us some creativity. hopefully Cole can last 90 mins.

Still not convinced about Sinclair, didn’t the baggies have him least year with a view to a permanent and he couldn’t even break into their team..

As for today, I just hope someone other than Benteke gets a goal for us, particularly from our midfield!

It’s because he’s terrible. Everything went through Dyer and Routeledge when he was at Swansea and their fans were happy he left as he’s no better than a Championship player.

Many Villa fans wanted Sinclair before he went to ManC which has turned out to be a poor move for him. A loan move to the end of the season is not a bad deal – can’t see Tekkers going the other way unless he fancies some bench polishing duties πŸ™‚

lmao listen you,,,,,,your well full of yourself ~remind us who did you suggest, bare in mind andrew 3 million is like 30 mill to lerner.penny pinching doesn’t attract ambition, ppl can blame the manager, tea lady until they are blue in the face. but until the manager gets funds to replace the players already left and leaving. we couldn’t attract billy the fish from fulchester. nobody would want to play for villa at this current time,

I’m okay with that as well… You can go over the forum for the last 5 years to see who I’ve suggested. Guess what? Bar Benteke we haven’t gotten a single one I’ve mentioned.

Transfer funds haven’t been a problem. Lambert has gotten funds, not this made up 3m garbage being spouted. It’s not the funds, it’s the wages which means we need better scouting to find players like Southampton and West Ham have done.

And thinking nobody wants to play for Villa currently is a joke. No we won’t attract from the big clubs, but no need to go for terrible players like Lennon (7m is a joke) and Sinclair just to get players.

            your a joke

name your players today??????? not after its been ssn or floating around twitter. your as clueless as the rest of us. decent players aren’t attracted by villa anymore. until the club show ambition, any players already here or on wanted list, will use us as a stepping stone or give villa a wide birth

lennon is one player i mentioned boliase another, all the players i mentioned, fit the criteria of cheap and not desired by better clubs or clubs showing ambition.

also would lennon cost 7 mill not sure seems like loans are the way lerner wants to recruit.

Aw, are we resulting to insults now? And yet you whine when others do it to you? What a surprise.

I’m as clueless as the rest of you? About what? Football? Not nearly, as unlike you I do watch football outside of Villa, or at least the Prem.

I’ve read Spurs want 7m for Lennon, because that’s how Levy works.
And loans are the way he recruits… Because we’ve loaned oh so many players. Dawkins, Holt, Bertrand and Cleverley. 6 players last summer bought and only 1 loan player. Damn him for only wanting loans. January before that you’re right, we signed 2 players on loan. Summer before that we brought in 7 players, not a single on loan. January before that we brought in 2, 1 on loan – Dawkins. Then his first summer was 8 players, not a single on loan. 25 players brought in, 4 on loan. Damn that Lerner for only wanting players on loan. He is truly going to kill us with only wanting players on loan, we might not have a team if we didn’t have all these players on loan.

well i will try too keep up with you with my lack of football outside b6 ~ i reckon lennon will stay at spurs or be loaned, but no 7 mill monopoly money will swap hands for him. well sinclair is another guy nobodies wants, but was a talent a few seasons back. its all that villa will get unless you and mighty knowledge reckon we are better than these muppets

I didn’t say you couldn’t use them, I just gotta kick out of it that you were on here claiming you were leaving this site because a majority was giving you stick for your opinion, that’s all. Feel free to call me anything you want.

And yes, we are better than Lennon and Sinclair. They’re not players that are going to move us forward, Sinclair’s not a creator, he gets created for. That’s why Dyer and Routeledge were better than him and would be the better choices if we signed a Swansea/former Swansea winger. Lennon’s awful and his end product is just as poor as Weimann’s who isn’t even a winger. We are better than these muppets and they’re not worth a transfer fee, squad spot or the wages they’ll ask.

i support villa so i float to where i hear from real fans with real views, that’s this site and others what that got to do with the price of bacon. lennon and sinclair have what villa lack. they both can beat a player with skill and speed, could offer width we need or supply benteke. whether they will come and be a success is a gamble, cos both are damaged goods. but thats where we are at present

Sinclair isn’t terrible at all imo but I don’t want us to loan him as I doubt he would be that interested still collecting his big pay slip at city. Looks like were struggling today. Oh dear maybe a defeat would make us a little more urgent in the transfer window.
