Karsa and Culverhouse confirmed sacked; Drugs?

The Press Association and the Mail are reporting that Paul Lambert’s assistants have indeed been sacked, just as the speculation has been saying.
What the reports are not saying however are the reasons, other than Lerner’s quote that it was something that “could have set the club back”.

We know there were accusations of bullying, but I don’t particularly see how this would have set the club back in the way it was inferred.

Of course, the illegal taking of drugs would indeed set a club back.
We do also know that it was reported that senior members of a major football club were allegedly spotted sniffing something in an opposing team’s boardroom.

I’m putting two and two together and guessing Karsa and Culverhouse were indeed the subjects of the report.

Now while I have a major dislike of illegal drugs for various reasons, I also take the view that what people do in private, is entirely up to them.
Except this wasn’t in private, was it?
How ridiculously stupid to get caught as they were.
Hence good riddance, if indeed it was them.

It wouldn’t surprise me if this was the reason that Lerner finally decided to throw in the towel.
While I’m not exactly sure of the timeline of things lately, Randy must have at least been wondering what the hell is going on at the club (along with most of us fans).

Just my own personal opinion, which could well be wrong, of course.

I would change the tone of this Badger … libellous …

A strong rumour on VT suggests a training ground bust up and we will never know for certain.

What I do know is that these two were very close to Lambert, he lost control of them and has (yet) paid no price for it.

I certainly wouldn’t want to be the one who published that allegation. As the previous comment suggested, this is libellous.

I know for a FACT that Culverhouse was under investigation for swearing at fans behind the dug out. One of my friends reported him to the club for it. He wouldnt have normally taken offence but his children were in earshot and the expletives were colourful to say the least. I would hazard a guess that there were considerable number of complaints from the same incident. As for any other misdemeanors,I cant comment, but if the drug allegations are true, I say good riddance!……I think it was during the Palace game.

Not really. I stick by what I said. The new owners have yet to be mentioned on here and the new manager will have Turkish connections. Be prepared to be pleasantly surprised by the end of May/beginning of June!

Badger – as far as the ‘drugs’ allegations are concerned, the story in the Guardian/Observer had a follow-up, and it seemed to suggest that it related to Leeds Utd. – the timing of the suspensions at VP was merely an unfortunate coincidence.

Whatever these two were supposed to have done, I really don’t think it was anything to do with that story.

Drug taking is prevalent everywhere and mainly never causes a problem. (Apart from the production line effect). Anyone remember the Dalian Atkinson expose in the NOTW??? The only way I can see them getting sacked over the alleged behaviour, is if they were caught and it would have bought shame on the club but its hardly gonna bring the Villa to its knees! Couple of years back I was told by a Papperazzi about regular similar habitual use by two England regulars based in London. He could have been spouting bollocks obviously…

JD if they were not much cop how come Lambert employed them at every single he was at ?

If you are a Lambert Luvvie you can not escape that fact and if you are not then you would agree Lambert had to go for lack of control and management.

If we get a proper coaching staff in under these circumstances I doubt very much
