Jores Okore has missed the previous season due to a ruptured cruciate ligament injury and hasn’t played a single minute of this season’s campaign. But Paul Lambert has stated that he will consider playing Jores Okore in Villa’s reserve side this week against Bolton. Okore did play during pre-season, didn’t perform as well as many predicted and has had to settle on the bench on a rare occasion.
“He needs games and will play a part in a game very shortly,” said the Villa manager.
“Whether Denmark play him or not remains to be seen.” – Paul Lambert
Okore will be in contention to face Manchester City but it still remains to be seen if Okore will play a part any time soon. Especially with Vlaar soon coming back and Senderos firmly securing his spot in the back-4.
Interestingly enough, only one player that had been signed in the previous transfer window has featured this season. Bacuna, And he’s only made 3 appearances so far this season playing a total of 102 minutes, 90 of those came from the League Cup in August. It does feel like the previous summer Lambert completely blew his transfer budget as it appears as none of those former signings are in favour.
