I’m worried about today.
We face Newcastle at home and the truth is I don’t have the foggiest idea about how this game is going to go.
It’s easy to take a pessimistic view and look at our form compared to the opposition’s and assume it’s all over before we kick a ball. But we should at the same time remember that Wolves managed to turn them over on their own patch.
So while the barcodes are a decent side, they are by no means unbeatable.
But what worries me, is that the longer we go without a win, so the self-doubt surely has to start creeping in and getting a result is going to become more and more difficult.
We need the breakthrough three points, it’s as simple as that.
Tshibola should be fit for this one but Nathan Baker, Ross McCormack and Rudy Gestede all face fitness tests.
Newcastle have Yurdun Anita in the middle of a three match ban, but I’m not sure how much of a problem that will be as they’ve used more players this season than any other side. Which is a bit more worrying if they’re doing so well and Benitez hasn’t settled on his best team yet.
The press seem determined to try and create some fierce rivalry between the clubs and I really can’t say I care for it.
We’re two respected clubs who have never really had any problem, a bit of banter apart and that’s how I’d like it to stay. Mick Quinn trying to fan any flames doesn’t help and the ony comment I’d have for him is “shut up, you fat git”, which is what I most remember about him when he played.
So while I don’t know what to think, I’m going to stay positive and believe that we can win this.
Actually, that reads wrong, as I believe we can beat anybody in this league. It’s actually achieving it, that is proving the problem.
I’ll predict a 2-1. And hope it’s in our favour.
There’s also the question of Jack Grealish and what we think of his latest partying situation.
I’m adding a belated poll, but the truth is I’m not sure what the question should be.
[polldaddy poll=9532249]
Just pure shit we are all over the place.
That’s because we are playing 3 at the back no one knows what they are doing. We also signed the wrong full bk should of gone for Yedlin
I really don’t know how much more Dr x is going to tolerate this my money’s on either RDM or pearson to be sacked next in this division.just saw a tweet from him saying stop please stop on the 36 min mark
RDM needs to go back to basics. 442 with no Westwood. Bring Tshibola in, Richards for Bacuna (sure it cant be worse) and take off Ayew for Gestede.
Then when the games over, walk out VP and don’t come back.
Tshibola on for Baker.
Now get at them.
If RDM can inspire such a thing, which I really doubt.
Lucky Rotherham & Derby lost today we’d be 21st means fuckall anyway we’ll be where we are come may another relegation battle oh to be a villa fan
Nothing has changed we don’t even look like scoring .
Gestede for…
Its rare I will pick out a player who is not performing, but Jedinak – how poor for a so called midfield general.
Please RDM never play Bacuna, Westwood and Ayew in midfield . they are not up to it.
I stated at the start of the season I would give RDM until November. Time is running out and if he can’t fix upon a formation, a style and win matches then is days are numbered.
At the start of the season we were 25-1 to go down, that looks a great price now!
gestede for adoamh what is rdm watching bacuna wastewood and ayew all should have gone as i write this newcastle miss another sitter, this is unbelievable how bad we are gone from 532 to what formation where is ayew playing
ugh
Ayew the only player who looks any good to me.
why is codja out wide i thought he was a goal scorer
when did we last score in last 5mins to draw or win
miracle wastewood away off
their is my answer now go and win the game
I have no idea what system we are trying to play. Why do we play strikers as wingers all the time? Hardly any effort to get players in to their box.
TISH!
Get the fuck in!
For a poxy point 🙁
Draws are no good to us like last season
Westwood off…… Gooooal
Coincidence…. I think not
I really hope Tshibola gets more games now.
He should of started
Should have started last week.
helenius
i like it
Get in there about fucking time we grabbed a late one chuffed
Chance for 2 more.
I’ll take that
Agree, but RDM needs to do more to ease the supporters worries. We got lucky today and he has let us down once again with that 1st half set up.
RDM has to go
Marvin, you’ve said it for me. First half no one looked for passes, balls was going to no one, why does he persists in playing Westwood ,and as for Di Matteo he didn’t inspire the team like Newcastle manager did, all in all we was a mess first half, second half got better but we should have done that from the off.Birmingham 6th in the league and us struggling in every game.
Decent result. Might boost the confidence to get a late equaliser.
Doubt it. We should of been 3 down. Newcastke do what we normally do miss their chances and capitulate in last few minutes
Badger posted the other week don’t post what you wouldn’t say to someone face to face in the pub so …
F##koff Oohah, you chat some absolute bubbles.
We absolutely hammered them in the second half with the rub of the green we’d have took them to the f##king cleaners.
Well played Villa, onwards and upwards UP THE VILLA!.
Oh please. We never hammered them at all. We made Clarke look good, that’s how bad we were!!!
Toon at half pace made us look awful, then a terrible toon 2nd half made us look ok….
True, in the last 10 we did ok but they’d settled for 1-0 and its bit them on the arse!!
I’ll hold my hands up if for the next 3 games we play well and start putting a few goals past teams but I cannot see that happening unless RDM changes things, which he won’t
Lot of talk in the papers today that RDM maybe on borrowed time and Bruce us ready to step in! I would rather stick with RDM than Bruce. He will make us hard to beat but we won’t win enough games with him either
Back to 17th – yippee! What price Holloway’s prediction now?
Rationally, I thought Tishbola made a difference in mid field and we have to play Ayew in the no 10 role. We were lucky but then how many times can the opposite be said this season – and we hit the bl**dy post AGAIN!
F*** me pink but my blood pressure must be sky high.
First half we were poor and my poor TV got an ear bashing.
Second half, especially later on, we were brilliant. Still lucky to get a draw but we might even have won it!
Only a draw but it feels like a turning point to me somehow. We showed some real spirit for the first time in ages.
Ayew was MOTM, some great runs.
Come on RDM let’s start the next game with the same eleven that finished and see what they can do.
PS Only thing poorer than us first half and poorer than Newcastle’s finishing was the ref. How Shelvey was on the pitch after that tackle is a mystery to me. He should then have gotten a yellow card in the second half.
