Transfer Gossip Round Up

imageimageThe new season is just round the corner and we have had a few players in and are awaiting maybe one or two more.We have signed Phil Senderos,Joe Cole,Kieran Richardson and recently Aly Cissokho.
Senderos,Cole and Cissokho have all played at Champions League level which should bring a wealth of footballing know how to the team.
Roy Keane joining was met with mixed views but for me was a good addition to AVFC bringing in a man who is a winner at the highest level, who has managed, has guts and connections.Im all for Roy Keane and think Lambert and Keane will do well.
Now onto recent rumours of players linked with AVFC.
There is nothing concrete in these rumours so take them as you will.
There is a lot of talk of Carlos Sanchez the Columbian DM from Elche joining AVFC.It is not concrete but he is said to be joining at the latest Tuesday this is just talk so let’s see what happens.
Also another rumour is we have tabled a new bid for Ki which is a deal Roy Keane has had his hand in sorting out but we will have to wait and see on that one to.
Would love both in to strengthen the midfield which is in my opinion the main priority….utv

It emerged yesterday that Elche midfielder Carlos Sanchez may be a target for Aston Villa, and reports in Spain now say that he is to fly in for a medical this morning and sign a three-year contract after the clubs struck a deal. Elche are keen to bring in a replacement quickly and are thought to be in talks with Swansea City over Jose Canas.

    1. No I googled for Carlos Sanchez news I am also talking to a guy who follows Elche on a regular basis…I get links from him and scour the news feeds following the story…utv

  1. Good news about Tonev. He wouldnt be playing for us this season, so nice to ship him out. Maybe he will find his level in the SPL… or at least the target!

Its also a good sign for us bringing in another midfielder this week, Fingers crossed.

      1. Let wait and see he’s got nothing right so far. Have bendtner and Ki joined ? Full of it.

        1. Nope but if you paid attention he claimed Bendtner broke down before half the media even claimed we offered him a contract and Ki was in the mix between us and was still talking to Swansea over an extension. So…. Yes, he gets just about everything right.

  2. “Bring a wealth of footballing know how to the team”???

What a turn around from last seasons young and hungry chicanery, is this seasons theme OLD, CROCKED or JOURNEYMAN?
Well however you dress it up the the bottom line is they’re cheap and no other f**cker wants them!

  3. Jay Dee mate take that with a pinch of salt , other site are saying he’s happy at elche, chairman saying not going anywhere QPR told that, now Telegraph staying with rumour he’s in talks with Villa, papers mate just talk nothing more.

  4. 8th to 10th position? Is this a wind up?
Now there is optimism and there’s stupidity – 8th to 10th position is bordering on the latter but still whatever floats your boat.
Keep tugging on them crack pipes and/or dropping those acid tabs and you enjoy that cocoon of an alternative reality they’ve helped you induce.

    1. Fuck off negative prick. We can predict whatever we wish….who the fuck are you? The prediction police?
Its noted that you didnt predict anything….that probably sums you up!

      1. I can predict one thing Johnny big bollox if we had this conversation face to face you in a boozer you wouldn’t be givin it the big un would you now?

Now sit down draw your neck in have a nice cuppa and calm your little self down before your fingers get you into trouble.

        1. Come on you two kiss and make up your both entitled to your opinions. 🙂

    1. Carlos Sánchez is very close to Aston Villa. In fact, notes that could be signed by the English club in the coming days.

The representative of Colombia is already in England, negotiating with the Birmingham club to achieve the recruitment of midfield, as reported Monserrate Hernandez.

The information was ahead last night’s prestigious British newspaper The Telegraph, pointing to the Premier team had gone for it after the price of the clause, only 4 million.

Carlos Sanchez The case continues. The player closed the door to an exit last week at a press conference, but had no formal offers. The Queens Park Rangers, Everton and Lokomotiv were nominated as candidates, but none Elche sent a formal offer.

Time will tell if negotiations with Aston Villa English curdle or not, and if it’s the club that definitely carried internationally by Colombia.

  5. Im in Spain, close to Elche, my son watches them occasionally and the local rag here has got a small piece on Sanchez in talks with the Villa so fingers crossed…!

  6. Pete Colley from Sky Sports “confirms” (which was announced when? Thursday… Friday? By twitter) Villa are in talks to sign Sanchez.

  7. The midfield and the manager’s tactics are the key. Any defence will crack if they are just putting in challenges on the edge of or inside their own box because the midfield is allowing the opposition to waltz through. We all think the Villa defence was crap last season, and that includes many on this blog who reckon Vlaar was good for one mistake leading to a goal every game. Yet the same Ron Vlaar did not allow Messi more than a half chance in 120 minutes. What was the difference? The Dutch defence only had 48% of the game at action stations because that was the total Argentine possession. Villa conceded 62 to 73% possession regularly thanks to an utterly lightweight midfield. The pressure that puts on the defence leads to cracks.

As others have said Keane will be bending Lambert’s ear if Villa seem content with similar stats this season. He won’t be. He will want them to defend in the style of his Man Utd side, in the opponent’s half.

  8. Optimists on this blog please note you should pick up a coupon before Saturday at Wm Hill and put a bet on Villa to finish in the HANDICAP top 3 at 18/1 to win 1/4 odds to place 1,2,3. Because any team that finishes 8-10 places higher than the bookies guess is a handicap blot.

  9. Jay Dee

Fair play on calling Sanchez deal a good few days ago. Praying it happens now.

  10. Can now confirm through my sources that we have in fact pulled out of any deal to sign Sanchez. The deal is dead.

    1. Oh well, they’ve probably sold a few more season tickets on the back of this link!!!!!!
      I.e Kiyotake, Belhanda ect.

      1. this is bad news 🙁 well gutted we need some guy that has steal and can pass, 2 sit in front of the defense,

keep us posted if anyone hears such news ltrs
