As the transfer window nears it end, transfer news is coming to it’s end. But for Aston Villa, it appears as though there will still be movement. Well, when I mean movement I mean departures from Aston Villa.
Crystal Palace are back in for Barry Bannan. Bannan has been told by Villa that he is free to find a new club, he was offered to Ian Holloway earlier in the transfer market, he declined but it appears as though Holloway is looking to bid due to his failure in luring some of his other targets. Holloway may not get his target so easily because Hull City and Malaga are both also interested in Bannan. No fee is mentioned but it appears it may be around the half a million pounds mark, similar to Blackpool’s accepted bid.
Stephen Ireland may also be another player that may find a new club before the close of the transfer window. Everton were allegedly interested in his services with the Everton board being able to fund the transfer. But Roberto Martinez wasn’t interested, so it appears as though Middlesbrough are in pole position. However it looks as though this will be a loan move for Ireland.
Marc Albrighton is a another player that may be leaving out on loan for Aston Villa. I remember reading earlier in the season that Albrighton would’ve been given a chance by Paul Lambert. It’s not clear whether or not he has a future at the club, but Paul Lambert would like Albrighton to leave out on loan to get his career going. If this doesn’t happen by the close of the transfer window, it will happen during next months ’emergency loan’ market.
