  1. Jeez, I need to get my thoughts together here, because I really didn’t think it was going to happen!

  2. Fucking hell…I feel like the weight of the world has fallen off my shoulders.
    Christ on a bike!!!

  3. the other halfs watching some history program so i cant watch ssn the link on the other page wouldn’t load up, must be too many fans jamming the page lmao

  4. Lerner and Fox now look like complete idiots after the ‘no change’ speeches. Wonder what wonderful choice of words they’ll now dream up to explain the about-face?

      1. we both said he would go if we lost yesterday, fox and lerner had to make a move after that display, it was worse than pathetic. the fox backing him weeks before,,,, he had to back him verbally to ease the pressure.

      2. BWS – not arguing with you about that, just want to see what the “PR Machine” now comes out with!!

    1. Especially Fox who seemingly went out of his way to back Lambert. Gotta wonder if it was Fox or Lerner behind it and gotta wonder if they both agreed.

      1. Hence I’m wondering who’ll come out, face a camera, and ‘explain’ what’s changed since last week!

  5. They had to do it now, leave until April with the fixtures we have then and we’d have been f**ked and they also have a week or so to find someone new with the FA Cup this weekend, some breathing space.

  6. Not really a lot to say other than how happy I am that he’s finally gone. I mean over the last 5-6 months, I think everything that could be bad said about him, has been said so no real reason to start that again. Should be interesting who the board thinks is capable.

    1. That’s the question Andrew.
Has the club had the foresight to see this day coming?
      I’ll bet not.

      1. I would think Fox would have been thinking of replacements since the Arsenal game, lets hope so…. And it will really show if he has balls people say he does.

      2. Honestly I think deep down they knew it had to come and probably knew it would come, they were just trying to I guess hold it out for as long as possible in case he did come good. Fox tried his hardest to get fans on his side and that failed miserably as I know a lot of Villa fans don’t like Fox due to his comments about Lambert.

        1. ” I know a lot of Villa fans don’t like Fox due to his comments about Lambert.”

          Myself included.

          1. I figured as much. His comments annoyed me, but then again he’s doing Faulkner’s job which isn’t what he’s used too as well as the job he did at Arsenal. And he is coming from a club who’s allowed a manager to stick around at least 5 years past his expiration date.

Only reason I don’t dislike him is because we all know why he’s here, financial reasons. He’ll say whatever he wants and I don’t honestly care what he says, he’s here for one reason and that is to make Villa money.

  7. We will NOT be relegated……
Thanks Randy for fucking up the career of a decent bloke with far more pride, integrity and guts than you could accumulate in 3 lifetimes!
Fuck off Lerner, the Villa is OURS!

    1. Langford, good to see you back mate.

I’ll put a new post up when I’ve gathered my thoughts.
      I’ve got new concerns now!

  8. Tim Sherwood anyone? Didn’t he get Adebeyor playing plus decent record during his albeit brief spell

    1. If there is absolutely no one willing to take the job now or they’re looking permanent come the summer, then a couple month spell for Sherwood wouldn’t be the worst.

  9. Club Statement on AVFC.Problem now is who we get and how quick to make a difference, IMO opinion it is maybe too late. My choice is a manger who command instant respect and lift the club from the off how about Martin Laursen and Olof Melberg as his number 2? Alternatively Tim Sherwood or Laudrup.

  10. The question is now – who will take the job and will Randy try and go for the cheap option or will Foxy persuade him to put his hand in his long pockets.

  11. Mention £100m n Randy’s eyes light up….. Shows what he’s most interested in, and its not Villa. So much for Fox’s comment on Lerners rejuvenation for Villa!!!

Dread to think who they’ve got in mind….

    1. Well said mate….at last someone who recognises whats really going on….along withJD
Fuck off Lerner, the Villa is OURS,
      We will NOT be relegated
Bring on the next puppet…your master awaits you!

  12. Tim Sherwood 5/4; Mark Warburton 12/1; Redknapp 12/1; Laudrup 14/1; Paul Clement 20/1; Sven Eriksson 20/1 [Oddschecker]

  13. The best thing about his sack I don’t have to watch this terrible football and we mite move up the pecking order on match of day!! 🙂
2nd point Lerner knew from yesterday that the new tv money is available next season if we stay up so he knew he has to look after his investment (pockets!) he’l have to dig deep now to get a manager to help us to servive or he will end up losing more millions!!
