El Ahmadi Set to Rejoin Feyenoord for £750,000

Dutch news sources have been reporting that Karim El Ahmadi has rejoined Feyenoord for £750,000. This news comes from Voetball which has generally been a reliable news source for Dutch football. Earlier in August, El Ahmadi admitted that he was homesick and was looking to move back to the Netherlands once his contract had expired. Well it appears as though he will be moving earlier than that. He is yet to appear for Aston Villa this season and has yet to make an appearance on the bench, so it seems very likely that he would be moving this transfer window.

El Ahmadi was Paul Lamberts first signing for Aston Villa and joined the club for a fee of roughly £2 million. In his first season he made 24 appearances and scored 1 goal, in his second made 22 appearances scoring 2 goals. El Ahmadi did score in Villa’s 3-2 win over Man. City last season, and that will most likely be his greatest contribution to the club.

But despite some negativity towards the Moroccan midfielder, he wasn’t a poor player. He put in a good shift in midfield and did add something to the team, he wouldn’t have been a bad squad player should he have stayed this season. I don’t think he would’ve been offered a new contract since he hasn’t quite done enough to earn one. El Ahmadi always put in a shift so he won’t be forgotten as a complete flop.

Guzan, Vlaar, Senderos, Hutton, Cissokho, Delph, Westwood, Richardson, N’Zogbia, Weimann, Agbonlahor.

subs: Given, Baker, Bacuna, Cole, Bent, Sanchez, Grealish.

    Just as expected then really.

I’ll go 2-1 to us and probably another poor game.

Not at game but a friend of mine said hull are abysmal. Having said that can only beat what’s in front of us. Watching spurs game Liverpool look fuckin good even better than last year. Could challenge chelski for title only thing that will stop them is they are in CL

Well well well, Villa are winning and Oohah is more interested in posting comments about what is happening at Liverpool. Bet if we we’re losing he’d be having a field day.

I said to my mates at ht we will completely change philosophy for 2nd half and we will try to ‘contain’ rather than get that important 3rd goal. Its happened and it really pisses me off, now they have one back I can only see it going one way…..I hope I’m wrong tho

Got to be impressed with the possession stats….compared to previous games.

  11. Vlaars crocked yet again bent waste of fucking space.

    1. Well gabby mom, Delf was Tony Morley choice, but saying Gabby ran out of steam second half, Bent missed two golden chances, Grealish when on ran rings around them and brought down a few Times about 5 yellow for Hull.

  12. 3 points, 3rd in the league, Makes the international break break more satisfying.

If anyone dares say “Hull were shit” for the reason we win then hold your head in shame. First half we made them look shit, pacey one touch attacking footy, winning first n second balls and a desire to win it back asap….. Very well done, bit pissed off with the more negative approach to the 2ns half which saw us lose our clean sheet but hey ho….these 7 points are much needed looking at what games lie ahead!!! VTID

is steve bruce delusional . reported it as the worst performance since he has been in charge of hull .

          1. Yes, yes he is. Villa made them look poor, he got their tactics terribly wrong in the first half. Just like we made them look good in the second, by deciding to switch to a defensive style.

I think we can take points of sky four teams like last year. Only Chelsea and Liverpool look like they r in a league of their own. Ps hull were shit lol

Great win for villa. We can argue all day about Lamberts tactics but we have to admit that we are a tougher team to break down now. I’m now off to watch real sportsmen. Dublin v Donegal Gaa match !!!!!

Anyone got info on the nature of Vlaar’s injury? At least we have the International break to get him fit. Do we need another CB as I don’t rate either Clarke or Baker alongside Senderos and Okores isn’t match fit yet.

    1. OohAhPaulMcGrath avatar
      OohAhPaulMcGrath

Ffs is he injured again. Get fuckin rid

      1. Replace him with who? Senderos looks better than ever because he has a leader by him. Senderos and Baker/Clark? No thank you. Okore’s not fully fit yet, meaning we’d have to buy a class CB, when we have one already taking away from what we really need.
