Bacuna tore Manchester City apart, well he was one of the main reasons why Aston Villa beat Man. City over the weekend. The recent Man of the Match player assisted El Ahmadi’s goal and scored one himself with a free-kick. The Aston Villa midfield has been crying out for a creative player for some years now and it appears as though Lambert has brought one in. Bacuna has been described as a very versatile player, in fact he has already played in midfield against Liverpool and Tottenham and at right-back most recently against Man. City and Norwich.
Our midfield consists of some very hard workers, El Ahmadi and Delph have been terrific so far being involved in attacks and defensive plays. However, we are missing a creative player to make that killer pass. I think Bacuna can do that, if we play him in midfield with El Ahmadi and Delph Villa will have a mix of creativity and hard-workers. Besides, the right-back position isn’t that weak either, Matthew Lowton hasn’t hit his best form yet but last season he had a terrific season. Making 3 assists, scoring 2 goals, it’s believed that Lowton can return to that form if he is given another chance at right-back.
Hulla game will be interesting.. esp if Gabby is fit.. i can see us winning that one..
But it is no surprise that we are playing better against the big teams.. people like K EA are more suited to the opposition having more of the ball and then chipping away at players and unsettling them..
a win against hull would be really sweet especially as theres a break right after hopefully giving us time to get the squad fit.
speaking of which hull skipper brady is out for a while(I know as I ve got hhim in one of my fantasy teams)he’s been playing very well for them even though he totally dived against west ham winning the penalty(and taking it)that won the game.
this being the case we should maybe try and dominate the midfield rather than playing the counter for that game.
I think Hull without Brady will deffo hinder them. With Gabby back I think we will beat them. But like many have said it would be typical of us to lose just before the international break too so that it’s all doom and gloom around the club for two weeks. Hopefully a gabby hat trick!
Ffs not another international break really pisses me off sick to death of boring internationals
Have you actually tried watching them? lol…
Well, Villa in the last 7 years played Hull 5 times, won all of them and kept a clean sheet in all 5 games. Villa scoring 8 goals in the process, so hopefully history repeats itself.
Being linked with yet another striker, Dame N’Doye. Lokomotiv’s tied for leading goal scorer.
Although Gala want him so they’ll probably get him.
Bacuna looked brilliant at RB, midfield is a different proposition altogether. Very difficult to predict whether or not he would be good somewhere along that line (from the time he got pre-season he didn’t impress all that much) but I would say as part of a midfield 3, no but as part of a midfiled 4, yes. RW with Lowton overlapping. That would a pairing for sure.
I’ve given up predicting Villa scores now. Hull, we should beat them comfortably, we’re away, we’re good on the counter and they will attack but we support the Villa, it’s never that straight forward.
2-1 Villa if I have to. UTV
How about this positive article, comments?

yeah oo ah another firkin international break, time for the sky four to get their sick notes in to England and hodgson(although harts will be accepted gladly 😉 )
not so bothered this time although it is annoying as it will give us a bit of extra time to get tekkers fit.
