Many of us had real fears about losing this one and so it turned out.
My predicted draw was looking in the bag, but we never really looked like scoring did we?
And what about that first half? I struggle to recall such a poor performance from two teams in the top flight, ever.
Even before the goal, the fact that Guzan had made the better saves in this game says it all and it’s simply not good enough. I even went so far as to think that Palace would probably nick it.
I now believe we stand every chance of going down, as we create absolutely nothing, especially at home.
How can it be that we are reduced to this?
I’m thoroughly despondent after that display, so am cutting it short. I just feel sick to the stomach.
But I will say one thing.
While I heard many boos and jeers, I never heard anyone calling for Lambert’s head.
I’m perplexed as to why.
Unless of course, most agree with me, in that we won’t appoint a decent replacement or give a new manager any money to spend.

I have a season ticket, but cant be bothered anymore. I even had an excellent stream today….I turned it off at half time…the football was a disgrace! I listened to Everton creating chance after chance even though they only had 10 men for 80 minutes. Its not so much the result, its the dire football. I cant find the energy or the will to travel 6 hours to watch that dross anymore!

Lets be honest, without Benteke last season, Lambert would be long gone. In hindsight, we should have just fired him after the abysmal xmas last year.
The only goal we have scored that I can remember came from a pass from a Stoke defender…we are creating nothing. Were it not for the freak results against City and Southampton, we would be joint bottom…and deservedly so.
Personally, I wouldn’t mind having Steve Clarke in charge. Although, that would be the third Scot in a row…so maybe not. At least we would try and play football again.
