Villa – Cardiff: Can we?

Yet another big game then (aren’t they all now?) and I really don’t know what to think.
I have to say that given that we have struggled against some very average sides, I’m not too hopeful.
Team news, which is easier to pull from the Sun than the OS (unbelieveable!) is that Tuanzebe is in for Taylor (who I’m not keen on). Bjarnason retains his place alongside of Hourihane.

But the big news is that John Terry is out and Jedinak takes his place alongside Chester.
What’s that about?

Looking at the positive side, a win today would see us four points behind Cardiff.
How expensive might that Norwich defeat prove?

But I don’t see it making much difference, as it seems to me Cardiff want it more than us.
That said, we rise for the bigger games and you never know.

I’m not a betting man, but my money would go on Cardiff, I’m afraid.
2-1

Prove me wrong Villa. We need a decent win.

I smell trouble – Jedinak at CH and Tuanzebe at LB – looks dodgy to me after Jedi’s performance against Sheffield United!

Got tonight’s game and the Leeds one via a week pass.
Sky’s actually been better value than AVTV this season 🙁

    Whelan’s in for Bjarnason now.
    WTF?
    I’m even more worried now.

Now Whelan in for Bjarnasson- injured in the warm up. This sounds horrible. Best we can hope for is a bore draw

But then again given that Cardiff will be all muscle, bully tactics and high balls perhaps Jedi and a Whelan are perfect foils- it’s just the football that suffers!

Actually, I was thinking similar, in that Whelan can dish it out.

We seem very tentative with our passing – no confidence

  18. Hourihan absolutely useless, Bree hitting it long into the box for a goal kick, no brains in our team only two Chester And Grealish.

30 seconds of action at the wrong end! Badger we are really poor again. Cardiff are all hard men and long ball football and pleae don’t say it’s effective – that would be hypocritical of Villa fans LOL
