Villa – Cardiff: Can we?

Yet another big game then (aren’t they all now?) and I really don’t know what to think.
I have to say that given that we have struggled against some very average sides, I’m not too hopeful.
Team news, which is easier to pull from the Sun than the OS (unbelieveable!) is that Tuanzebe is in for Taylor (who I’m not keen on). Bjarnason retains his place alongside of Hourihane.

But the big news is that John Terry is out and Jedinak takes his place alongside Chester.
What’s that about?

Looking at the positive side, a win today would see us four points behind Cardiff.
How expensive might that Norwich defeat prove?

But I don’t see it making much difference, as it seems to me Cardiff want it more than us.
That said, we rise for the bigger games and you never know.

I’m not a betting man, but my money would go on Cardiff, I’m afraid.
2-1

  1. I smell trouble – Jedinak at CH and Tuanzebe at LB – looks dodgy to me after Jedi’s performance against Sheffield United!

  2. Got tonight’s game and the Leeds one via a week pass.
Sky’s actually been better value than AVTV this season 🙁

  3. Now Whelan in for Bjarnasson- injured in the warm up. This sounds horrible. Best we can hope for is a bore draw

  4. But then again given that Cardiff will be all muscle, bully tactics and high balls perhaps Jedi and a Whelan are perfect foils- it’s just the football that suffers!

  5. already more movement interchanging passes. grabban should have squared to adomah

  6. See Prince William and Big John Carew at the ground. Tuanzebe injured – Bree coming on?

  7. 30 seconds of action at the wrong end! Badger we are really poor again. Cardiff are all hard men and long ball football and pleae don’t say it’s effective – that would be hypocritical of Villa fans LOL
