Transfer Rumours – Williams (Not Chelsea) & Nabi

JONATHAN WILLIAMS

The word is quickly starting to spread that Aston Villa are looking into a potential signing of Crystal Palace attacking midfield Jonathon Williams.

The 21 year old has spent most of the season on loan to Ipswich but has now returned to Crystal Palace for the second half of the season.

I don’t know much about the player, but I do know that he played 18 games for Ipswich and scored 2 goals during that period.

He has a lot of buzz around him and in 2013 it was reported (albeit by the Mirror) that Arsene Wenger was ready to lure him to Arsenal with a 10m bid.

ADIL NABI

West Brom’s Nabi is also gaining a bit of traction. The 20 year old striker hasn’t started any games for the senior team yet but did score a hatrick for the U21 team against Aston Villa earlier this season.

Regardless of whether we like the players, the rumours and talk are all good and so is the idea that we are looking into attacking midfielders and strikers, but if we do go for a young, talented prospect, we need to ensure that we are not a stepping stone and they are committed.

Read into it what you all will.

Lets get em both, to sit on the bench, be loaned out, or have to endure the woeful tactics of Mr Lambert… !

We just recalled Gary Gardner, 23, from his loan spell where he scored 2 goals in 11 starts in the championship. He’ll sit on the bench for the remainder of the season no doubt, or be loaned out again.

Wouldn’t mind Williams, what I like about him is everytime he gets the ball his instinct is to look for the goal and run forward with the ball, and that’s definitely what we need right now. On another note looks like Swansea are discussing the sale of Bony for 30 million to Manchester City, looks like Benteke won’t be going there! Contrary to what others on here had feared.

More squad players if purchased, loaned or whatever.we need players that fit straight into weak positions we have with immediate effect the clocks ticking.

I’m with you on that Giddy. Attacking mid is the most crucial, followed by a decent wide man. Agbonlahor and Weimann need some time on the bench, probably CNZ too. Elsewhere I think we can probably hold our own for now.

Wouldn’t be a bad loan signing. He tries things but then so does Grealish and Sanchez. Gotta change the mindset of Gabby and Benteke to move to get anything going at Villa

I’d be very happy of we got Jonny Williams! Januzaj would also be a good signing. Don’t know much about Nabi (not Nani previously of Man Utd, lol!)
