Transfer Gossip Round Up

imageimageThe new season is just round the corner and we have had a few players in and are awaiting maybe one or two more.We have signed Phil Senderos,Joe Cole,Kieran Richardson and recently Aly Cissokho.
Senderos,Cole and Cissokho have all played at Champions League level which should bring a wealth of footballing know how to the team.
Roy Keane joining was met with mixed views but for me was a good addition to AVFC bringing in a man who is a winner at the highest level, who has managed, has guts and connections.Im all for Roy Keane and think Lambert and Keane will do well.
Now onto recent rumours of players linked with AVFC.
There is nothing concrete in these rumours so take them as you will.
There is a lot of talk of Carlos Sanchez the Columbian DM from Elche joining AVFC.It is not concrete but he is said to be joining at the latest Tuesday this is just talk so let’s see what happens.
Also another rumour is we have tabled a new bid for Ki which is a deal Roy Keane has had his hand in sorting out but we will have to wait and see on that one to.
Would love both in to strengthen the midfield which is in my opinion the main priority….utv

It emerged yesterday that Elche midfielder Carlos Sanchez may be a target for Aston Villa, and reports in Spain now say that he is to fly in for a medical this morning and sign a three-year contract after the clubs struck a deal. Elche are keen to bring in a replacement quickly and are thought to be in talks with Swansea City over Jose Canas.

    1. Yes 2.55 but not who he was, your doing a great job J D, think I’m going to sack Oohah 🙂 he’s pissed off on holiday and not told me.

        1. Check giddy a chat with me he asks me who the other player is I tell him”Serge Gnabry”utv

      1. You did Jay Dee and I did read it. Apologies should have said that it backed up your comment yesterday.

        1. You found the link though mate so big up to you pal nice one if you find anymore links keep em coming it all ads to the flavour utv

  1. Birmingham Mail reporting still some ‘minor’ details to be resolved on Sanchez transfer although reported in Spain as a done deal.

    1. Do you think it’s the 3rd party ownership that’s making the deal take so long?utv

      1. JD I’ve given myself a kick up the back side, Apology Then I missed that, be aware oldest poster on here, can remember standing on dirt to watch Villa. and being pissed on.:-)

      2. JD i have heard is purely getting his work permit, which is holding up the official announcement, lets hope this is the case eh !

  2. Serge Gnabry i doubt will be allowed 2 come 2 villa and if he does hes raw at best but av we got the sanchez deal done or not very frustrating and wot the fook av hull been robbing 12 mill offer for wellbeck makes villa signings look 2nd class at best

      1. i forgot that 🙂 so much is happening while iam busy well apart from at vp 🙂 keep posting news guys hopefully 2day is the day new players arrive

  3. Happy Days !!!! Just read the Marca over here, and its official he has signed and we are awaiting work permits !!

    1. Surprised OS hasn’t announced signing ‘subject to work permit’ not unusual if, in fact, he has signed. Still seems to be some doubt over third party ownership issues.

  4. Lets hope he isn’t another Jean Makoun!! – In all fairness, He went to the world cup has been highly praised and has something like 40 odd caps so I’ve got faith that this could be a great signing! and a DM! about fucking time!

  5. Piece in the Birmingham Mail this afternoon

‘Speaking for the first time this afternoon lambert said’

“The situation is he’s not our player. We will have to see what happens over the next few days. There’s not much to say”

So the waiting goes on…and on…

        1. No, that’s pretty much all he’s quoted as saying other than refusing to talk about another club’s player. I think it’s interesting that he’s said anything – normally he’s tighter than a duck’s ar*e when it comes to saying anything about transfers.

    1. Translated in English means another load of bollox to appease fans he was never coming

    1. Thanks Hitchen60 don’t know what to say really, he is or is not, we’ve just got to sit it out and hope for the best. As you said he’s not the best for talking sense is he.

  6. I have a feeling that this one wont go through. It seems really complex. I reckon his agent is inviting other clubs to offer bigger and/or better deals. Probably another sign of Randy’s pennypinching in play. Still have my fingers crossed and my optimistic head on!

    1. Langford; you might be right but I also think this third party ownership is a problem. I know it’s quite usual in South America but not really clear on the regs here.

    2. “yer we tried to get him in, but things didn’t gooooo tu plan, so we will pick ourselves up and go agaaaarn because you can’t fault the lads……. ooh god forgot how dull he was !
Come on Villa we need some positive news for once !

    3. Marca would disagree.

Gotta remember he does have 3rd party ownership and despite having a lot of caps for Country, needs a work permit which can in fact take a while, as annoying as that is. But if we have to look to blame someone currently not at fault in this current deal… Then I guess that’s what you need to do.

      1. Andrew – agree on the work permit timing wise but clubs often announce signings subject to getting the permit. I really don’t think we have an agreement with the third party owners which is complicating the deal. Just to completely spoil the day Sky Sports reporting that PL has admitted he doesn’t know whether Vlaar will still be at Villa by the end of the transfer window. Knowing the way we do business we’ll probably sell him at the last minute with no chance of getting a replacement in. It’ll keep Randy happy though. Feeling depressed now off in search of the wine bottles.

        1. Need to stop depressing yourself. lol. No real reason to get upset over Vlaar at the moment, no bid, no contact, no nothing from anyone for him. Only real interest has been Koeman speaking to the media. Lazio and Juventus look likely to have CB’s signed up soon, so really only reported interest would be from United and Southampton. I doubt United will go for him but that’s just me, leaving Southampton. Only reason I see him leaving is Koeman being his former manager, but then he left his former manager for us so that could also say something.

          1. Fully agree with all your points Andrew. Too late to stop me finding the wine bottle though LOL Feeling better already!!!

  7. There an old mill by the stream Nelly dean( hic) I’ll have another one, don’t mind if I do being driven to drink. Who be a Football fan. hic, 1/2 bottle duty free gone already. 🙂

  8. I just watched Lambert’s interview…damn he is one depressing fucker!! Mkaes you just want to give up on life!! 🙂

  9. at least another chairman with less between the EARS than lerner rumours pulis has walked just 3 months after winning manager of season
lerner hasnt got a business brain or any one with balls to tell what a fuck up he is
what is villa squad worth minus benteke 50 million there about
.we have went from 25000/28000season tickets to 10000/125000 in space of couple years from. NIKE to macron kit makers where did sponsers go
    from mon to lambert.
no ceo no one likely to want job.

    1. Moments before the season starts…sounds just like MON’s departure to me. Shame Lambert doesn’t have that kind of integrity.

  10. Without Pullis, Palace would have been related last term; what price now? May have done us an enormous favour!

    1. Agreed. They’re a cert for the drop now. Dick of an owner…seems to be a lot of em around…

        1. Give me a break. He’s worked with Stoke for years and knows the score about overspending. He asked for what was fair…but like us he has a tight fisted eejit for an owner. He’s hardly going to have asked for £50m.

  11. On the face of it the Palace situation seems crazy. Just another case of a manager’s ambition not being matched by the ability or will of the board to back him.

      1. He wouldn’t be stupid enough to take it in the first place! The Sanchez deal should have been done and dusted, but I am sure the delays could have been avoided with a bit more cash. Lerner clearly knows nothing about football if he isn’t willing to fund a reasonably priced solution to a problem that has dogged us for the last few seasons.

        1. I hope the delay in Sanchez’s signing is due to a problem at his end & not ours, because I have a feeling it’s over money & lerners quibbling over a few quid(in football terms)he’s not prepared to pay.so far imo he’s spent fuckall for a while now.disgusting dragging our beloved club down.

  12. “Lerner clearly knows nothing about football,”
Yep – now lets hear the cries of “oh but he’s a business and and footballs just a business” and/or “Randy’s great, he’s put £200m of his own hard inherited cash in”.
Well no it’s not, it’s one hundred and forty years of history, we’re an institution, a national treasure the team that created league football,
As John Lerwill put it the other day “The club exists for football, not for the careers of the club’s management.”
    And Amen to that.

    1. Yep. I do have some sympathy for him though. He realises he has cocked up and wants out. That’s fine in my book. The problem is staring us in the face though. Who wants to buy Villa and blow loads of cash? I don’t see anyone out there, but even if he can sell it I don’t really hold any real hope that we will be better off. It’s a closed shop now and there is no point wasting millions to finish 6-8th.
      Sad times really BWS.

    1. Lambert doesn’t even know if Sanchez has been to BH or not, what a way to run a football club…

        1. Actually your right Langford, I don’t believe a word the mumbling baffoon says, please lets hope Keane starts doing the press conferences as I don’t think I can take the embarrassment of Lamberts noise any longer.

      1. Won’t be long off down to get my seats back, I wish you would make your minds up lads , first its on then its off, an old twat like me has to be careful our hearts cannot take it at our ages. 🙂

  13. reply to billywalkershirt
lerner is no business man sure he put in money but he got villa for about 100 million on the cheap, and if you lose money gambling surely thats his fault not ours typical yank

  14. According to Daily Mail Sanchez has passed medical and third party complications ‘ironed out’ expected to sign today; DM also saying one other by end of window. UTV

  15. yeah weekender is almost ere 🙂 av we signed anybody else or av we signed that sanchez 🙂 must say i agree with jvillan lerner must be at fault for wasting his money nobody else:( its unfortunate for him, he allowed himself 2 trusting of mon to spend his money,

lerners not quite the dumbass he claims 2b, cos hes now passing the blame and burden 2 the fans by putting us through the mill . ur hard earned money is being pocketed and the sky money 🙁 or are we 2b believed were not running in the black ?? i heard mcliesh say lately that he reduced the wages to a manageable lvl and lamberts even reduced this further 2 lerners demands

so i feel no pity 4 the guys thats killing our love

    1. wow i just heard Pullis walking out 2 days before the kickoff have slashed theirs odds on relegation. i nearly put Burnley, Palace and Leicester as a treble 2 fallout of league.

i keep hearing sanchez has definitely has signed then another story contradicts this so i will feel better when i see him in the starting line up.
