imageimageThe new season is just round the corner and we have had a few players in and are awaiting maybe one or two more.We have signed Phil Senderos,Joe Cole,Kieran Richardson and recently Aly Cissokho.
Senderos,Cole and Cissokho have all played at Champions League level which should bring a wealth of footballing know how to the team.
Roy Keane joining was met with mixed views but for me was a good addition to AVFC bringing in a man who is a winner at the highest level,who has managed,has guts and connections.Im all for Roy Keane and think Lambert and Keane will do well.
Now onto recent rumours of players linked with AVFC.
There is nothing concrete in these rumours so take them as you will.
There is a lot of talk of Carlos Sanchez the Columbian DM from Elche joining AVFC.It is not concrete but he is said to be joining at the latest Tuesday this is just talk so let’s see what happens.
Also another rumour is we have tabled a new bid for Ki which is a deal Roy Keane has had his hand in sorting out but we will have to wait and see on that one to.
Would love both in to strengthen the midfield which is in my opinion the main priority….utv

Sky Sports understands Aston Villa are set to sign Elche’s Colombian midfielder Carlos Sanchez with the player flying to England to undergo his medical. Villa have agreed a €6million(£4.7million) for Sanchez with the player expected to sign a four-year deal at Villa Park subject to his medical.

It emerged yesterday that Elche midfielder Carlos Sanchez may be a target for Aston Villa, and reports in Spain now say that he is to fly in for a medical this morning and sign a three-year contract after the clubs struck a deal. Elche are keen to bring in a replacement quickly and are thought to be in talks with Swansea City over Jose Canas.

  13. From over here in Spain, Elche are saying they have agreed a price with Villa and its now between the Villa and Sanchez’s representatives, but we also can’t announce the move until he has a full work permit…. I have a feeling this might just drag on…. !

    1. Isn’t it crap when you can’t even look at that tie with any confidence? Surely we must move upwards rather than the opposite. I just don’t know how to predict the season ahead. I argue (with myself) that the squad and team will be stronger, but the past few seasons have been so tough that I know deep down we could really so easily be struggling again.

He may be a good player ( i don’t know) but you can bet if Wenger lets him come to the villa it will be on the terms that he has to play the majority of the games further restricting the opportunities of the likes of Gardner and Grealish. Lambert has never given our youngsters a start in the premier league.
