Transfer Gossip Round Up

imageimageThe new season is just round the corner and we have had a few players in and are awaiting maybe one or two more.We have signed Phil Senderos,Joe Cole,Kieran Richardson and recently Aly Cissokho.
Senderos,Cole and Cissokho have all played at Champions League level which should bring a wealth of footballing know how to the team.
Roy Keane joining was met with mixed views but for me was a good addition to AVFC bringing in a man who is a winner at the highest level, who has managed, has guts and connections.Im all for Roy Keane and think Lambert and Keane will do well.
Now onto recent rumours of players linked with AVFC.
There is nothing concrete in these rumours so take them as you will.
There is a lot of talk of Carlos Sanchez the Columbian DM from Elche joining AVFC.It is not concrete but he is said to be joining at the latest Tuesday this is just talk so let’s see what happens.
Also another rumour is we have tabled a new bid for Ki which is a deal Roy Keane has had his hand in sorting out but we will have to wait and see on that one to.
Would love both in to strengthen the midfield which is in my opinion the main priority….utv

  1. JD called this one well ahead of all the media journo’s. I’m just keeping my fingers crossed that it all goes through now.

‘The Rock’, just the name could send fear through the opposition!

    Well done JD!

  2. Sanchez is owned by a third party some Dutch company but everyone new this it was just the sun jumping on it.There could be complications but as far as I understand it the deal is imminent

  3. Goal.com reporting that (according to their sources!!!)Sanchez has signed (their words) a 4 year deal subject to a medical due later today for a fee of £4.7m (6m Euros). Interesting in that NewsNow posted three links Daily Mail and Birmingham Mail 11.50 and 11.55 and Goal.com 12.00 – three different takes on the same story all at the same time (although DM / Goal.com agree on the fee at least!) – makes one’s head buzz!! Keeping everything crossed ….

  4. Giddy; probably not but neither can you beleive the ITK’s or those with ‘concrete sources’. When it’s on the OS then you can believe….I think or, then again, it could still be another PR stunt! LOL

    1. Not necessarily, it was reported everywhere other that the official site when Cissokho signed!!

  5. Goal.com
Aston Villa have completed a deal for Elche midfielder Carlos Sanchez, Goal understands.

The Colombia international has signed a four-year deal with Paul Lambert’s team after a £4.8 million (€6m) fee was agreed with the Liga side.

Goal has learned that Sanchez is due in the west Midlands on Tuesday to complete a medical with the club expected to announce the transfer as early as this evening.

    1. I really hope we aren’t putting all our eggs in one basket, we really do need another solid midfielder, look what happened to Okore, should lightning strike twice, we’ll be back in the same mire we were last year.

        1. Just being a realist mate.

I’d like to think we are stronger but there is always that niggle that should the new signing pick up an early injury we could end up back at square one.

Not to sound like OohAhh or anything 😉

        1. Me too BWS, i just mean we should be looking at one other midfielder of the same ilk to make sure we do not get caught out.

Alex Song is a new rumour on Newsnow, although is probably total hogwash.

      1. Wey Hey … its on Sky too now !!

  6. Fingers crossed this Sanchez deal goes through. Looking good though. Be nice to see us also try and get in a creative player too… i really like the look of that Daniel Wass from the French league (who we were linked with before), but, that may be a bit too optimistic!

  7. JD; source for the Vlaar rumour? Would signing Sanchez and Vlaar on an extended contract be enough to change minds on renewing ST’s?

    1. The vlaar rumour from is that adolescent fool on Twitter . Pure guess work . Anyone’s he says he called correctly were recycled rumours already in public domain.

  8. Is Sanchez that good? Not wanting to drag everyone down but does anyone really know? I hope he is and that the deal goes through. That still leaves around £5M burning a hole in Lambert’s pocket if rumours are to be believed. I hope that is invested in one quality player rather than 2-3 mediocre ones. If it is we could end up with a decent squad once Benteke and Kozak come back.

    1. It does but it’s getting scaring mate, this actually looking forward to the season is not something I’ve been used to for a while and I’m having trouble adjusting.

  9. Bienvenido Carlos Sanchez ” La Roca” a Aston Villa

over the moon with this signing 🙂 just the signing we needed VTID

    1. wots happening andrew

we seem 2 be going mad spening on decent players, i just red somewhere about alex song now is that if the sanchez fails or not

      1. Song? That seems like a pipe dream, as “bigger” CL clubs would want him well before us.

      2. Insidefutbol claim El Mundo Deportivo claim Everton and Villa are after Song. Just found it… HAHAHA. That would be amazing. His agent claims Inter, Milan and Napoli are after him, though a move back to the Premier League would be his main priority. Interesting.

        1. si senor andrew

so we do av a slight chance / but if we get sanchez will we still go after song ????? cos me and bill can’t take any more lmao

i heard song has no future at the nou camp and villa were in for him

          1. Nope, both he and Afellay have been told to find new clubs.

I doubt we have any chance, his wages would be massive and unless he’s willing to take a large pay cut, Everton’s far, far more likely. Wouldn’t be surprised if they left out a couple teams like Tottenham, Southampton and such in for him as well.

    1. Sun is shinin’ in the sky,
There ain’t a cloud in sight
      It’s stopped rainin’
      Everybody’s in a play
      And don’t you know
      It’s a beautiful new day.

  10. Is this positive thinking I see…..I’ll probably wake up in a mo’ with OohAh telling me not to be so foolish – by the way where is OohAh?

  11. Everything a done deal with Sanchez he’s flying in to have his medical tomorrow evening.Villa enquired about a loan signing from Arsenal.Ron Vlaar app been offered a new long term deal.

          1. thats a waste giddy asking mystic jay the weather when u should av asked for the lottery numbers
