THE NEW HOME STRIP THOUGHTS?

imageSo here it is then in all it’s glory the NEW home strip for the 14-15 campaign.
What are you thoughts?
I also hear that the away strip is like a modern homage to the white pinstripe 1982 CL final kit.
Again thoughts?
I normally go for away strips so I hope it is the white one UTV.image

Whoever Paul Lambert spots on holiday this year or from last year like Luna.

    1. One sticky Vicky, there’s only one sticky Vicky.

  7. We will end up with a midfield of holiday reps and weird fella who exchanges your money at striker partnered with the drag queen from the naff evening entertainment.

  8. Madge in goal?????

    1. Gavin would slip nicely into our back four.

  9. Pilots in goal with air stewards for defence, I actually think we could really improve our squad. The hotel barman could come on for the last 25 minutes and we can always revert to playing long ball to the fat sunburnt bloke who spends all day at the pool.

People starting to talk about Lambert that he’s found his No2 but no name mentioned yet just a rumour at the minute so I’m not going to read into anything but apparently we will be shocked at who it is if it has any substance will drop the name when I see it UTV

Oh come on!!! Spill the beans, even if it is just a rumour? Is it a comedy appointment like the rest of the club?

  11. McLeish?????????

    1. Andrew avatar

That is the absolute dream team!

      1. The blind leading the blind???????

        1. Andrew avatar

The ball would officially be in the oppositions half a total of 2 times a game! What could be better than that?

    Roy Keane

  13. Andrew avatar

Roy Keane is considering an Offer from Aston Villa to become Paul Lambert’s Assistant.
    Via:The Mirror

Reports are he rejected Celtic’s managerial proposal to stay as Assistant for Ireland. Truly hope this isn’t true.

    1. Is this a whindup????????????

      1. Andrew avatar

I hope so. Don’t want him anywhere near Villa Park. Another clueless egomaniac would only be more detrimental. We have one managing the club, we don’t need another one.

Ffs the news gets worse and worse. Will be like tweedle dee and tweedle dum. Or should i say 2 quarter wits that will be put together to make a half wit ffs. The humiliation goes on and on

      1. Andrew avatar

I think I’d almost rather have McLeish as the assistant.

        1. Andrew avatar

Although if anything, I do think he himself is an ambitious man. I do think he’d be a failure, but ambitious at that, so things could be changing. Possibly, hopefully.

    roy keane possible no.2.

    senderos possible bosman signing!

  15. Andrew avatar

Also claim we could be close to signing Senderos.

  16. I think Keane as an assistant is a good idea, will get the respect from players for sure. Can’t be any worse than culverhouse and karsa.

    1. Keane can play if wants. Better than sylla or almadi

    2. OohAhPaulMcGrath avatar
      OohAhPaulMcGrath

Just like he got the respect from Sunderland Ipswich players. Get your utd blinkers off he is another joke

  17. He was manager then, assistant will be totally different.

    1. OohAhPaulMcGrath avatar
      OohAhPaulMcGrath

No it won’t he will unsettle the dressing room to get himself lamberks job then we will be lumbered with him wanking over utd every time we play them Ffs

  18. Andrew avatar

So he can’t get their respect as their head manager, so he’ll get it being their assistant? Interesting.

  19. How do you know he didn’t get their respect? Might have just been shit at managing.

    1. Andrew avatar

Make sense to Lambert wanting him then…

    2. OohAhPaulMcGrath avatar
      OohAhPaulMcGrath

Doh!! It’s the same thing gettjng people to respect you is about managing them properly. He lost the changing room at both clubs abd his results were shit. Good player but like all ex utd players a shite manager

      1. Andrew avatar

Hughes isn’t a bad manager, neither is Bruce in all fairness. Quality manager’s at smaller clubs, but still EPL quality. But agree, he’s proven nothing in the EPL, in fact proven he couldn’t handle it at Sunderland. Guess he’d personally be under less pressure than Lambert as assistant. But I can only see it being a power trip and Lambert getting run over again.

        1. OohAhPaulMcGrath avatar
          OohAhPaulMcGrath

Yep Bruce and Hughes are the best of a bad bunch and are average managers at best. Apparently keane will still have his cozy tv role and still be part of Ireland set up. So players arnt going respond to a part timer. Why the fuck don’t we give to someone who will give their all rather than one of lamberk and mons mate who dosnt give a flying fuck about us and never will.

          1. Andrew avatar

Dunno, not even sure I believe it. But again, I do think he’s the type of guy to be ambitious, and while I don’t think he’ll be a success and do think he’d be another one to bully players if they don’t listen, I figure something could be happening. June 2nd seems a bit early to find an assistant for Lambert.

  20. Andrew avatar

Seems Hitzfield was the one who recommended Senderos. A shocking assistant, Hitzfield is supposedly leaving Switzerland after the world cup? MAYBE IT’S HIM!?!?!?!?

See, I can be a journalist!

Don’t really mind the link to Keane, what bothers me is that if Lambert is this close to getting a new number 2, we mustn’t be any closer to getting a new owner..

    1. OohAhPaulMcGrath avatar
      OohAhPaulMcGrath

Well keane can still keep his tv role and in role as well. So he would only be doing it part time bit like lerner and lamberk

  22. Andrew avatar

Or we could be a lot closer to a new owner, who decided Lambert’s going to stay, and agreed to allow a new assistant to come in? Could go both ways.

A lot of this is all being based on this actually being true.

    1. Andrew avatar

Plus, this is yet another wage Lerner would have to pay. Why would he bring him in this early?

      1. ifiruledtheworld avatar
        ifiruledtheworld

We can only hope, but any new owner would be as mad as Lerner to keep Lambert on…

        1. Andrew avatar

Probably, but most owners are mad, no? Who knows, Keane openly rejected Celtic, he probably would’ve mentioned Villa if he was offered it, he’s not afraid to talk.

      2. OohAhPaulMcGrath avatar
        OohAhPaulMcGrath

He will probably come part time and keep his tv role and prob a short term contract maybe monthly who knkws

        1. Andrew avatar

He’s in the US for Ireland’s 2 latest friendlies. Kinda makes sense. Maybe meeting a new owner. 😉

            OohAhPaulMcGrath

thats what the mirror said yesterday. hes coming as our manager then with celtic taking lambert and paying lerner money towards his pay off. talk about a back door appointment

    2. OohAhPaulMcGrath avatar
      OohAhPaulMcGrath

Any new owner that kept lambert would have ail anted tge fans for the off so unlikely

      1. Andrew avatar

I don’t know. There’s quite a bit of fans that still think Lambert is good enough with money so they won’t have as many fans as you truly think that would be on their asses.

        1. OohAhPaulMcGrath avatar
          OohAhPaulMcGrath

More fool them. Of course he would be better with money who wouldn’t. But he still won’t be good enough overal

I don’t really care who is assistant to Lambert. If it’s Keane the so be it. I recon he would make a better assistant / coach than manager. At the end of the day these are all side shows. Until we are sold we are not going to have much to choose from in terms of players in or coaches for that matter so why not Keane. It’s a short term fix that suits all parties involved. They could hire Ronald Mcdonald for all I care as it makes fuck all difference in the grand scheme of things.

    1. OohAhPaulMcGrath avatar
      OohAhPaulMcGrath

We had Kevin McDonald but I think his brother Ronald is a better bet tbh!!

Looks like we’re no closer to getting a new owner after all, time to hit the panic button?..

    http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/aston-villa-asking-price-slashed-3637827?

    1. Andrew avatar

June 2nd, hit the panic button? Interesting.

It does amaze me how well the Mirror seems to know Villa. Now I know most will take this news negatively, but it could have a positive twist. What if Lerner has an offer of 150m instead of 200m however Villa’s PR machine runs it at Lerner lowered the price for the club? Who told them Villa were offered to a couple of Middle Eastern investors? That Kazakhstan guy still could be in the mix then, no? Langford could very well be correct still.
