Submissions have been coming thick and fast of late and while we know some of you don’t like us to do too many articles in quick succession, we do like to publish as many as we can.
Witton Ryan asks what for me is an interesting, but bloody scary question;
I have been looking at what has been going on at the Villa like every one who cares for this club and asking myself a question.
Is there a way out of this down turn?
Do we need to drop out of the Premiership and start over?
If we did go down, yes we would lose some TV cash, but we would get parachute payments to help us, then we would be in a league where we could compete (I hope) and should have more wins and more joy.
Yes we would have a few people ie the Noses and the Baggies pointing at us but that would soon go.
I am not saying that I want this to happen but I look at other clubs that have been in our situation (Newcastle jumps to mind, a bad owner ripping the club apart) and I believe they came back stronger for going down.
A club of our size should be in the Premiership but we are in trouble and we are a joke. Something must change.
NAGUTIUS MAXIMUS think you have forgotten that OGS now at Cardiff was Lerner,s choice not Lamberk alot of fans seem to have very short memories when the shit it;s the fan.
Was he ?
He was interviewed certainly but was he offered the role ?
OGS was given time to mull over the position but declined eventually due to not wanting to uproot the family.pretty ironic 18mths later he’s living in wales oh well.obviously cardiff was a better option.
Rather than all this bullshit speculation where only pound land signings if any come we Shoukd discuss why lamberk has not been sacked and being given money in the first place. It’s all if a sudden gone quiet on lambert we have to keep the pressure on until the mumbling mutt heat head goes
Terry, you were probably fishing at the final game of McLeish’s reign, it was Norwich away and it was the whole away end that were chanting for Lambert who was incumbent at Norwich at the time.
He was a popular choice but things really are looking poor at this moment in time.
I doubt that relegation is likely, get on at 10/1 if you think it is.
As for Lerner, he had a go at throwing money at the top four finish like confetti and ended up with over priced mediocrity on huge wages that took three seasons or more to clear.
It’s easy to forget that as fans and scream that we should go spend crazy again, where does the money come from mate ? Your gate receipts ?
We all want better for our wonderful club, but let’s hear some sensible suggestions, all I hear from you and your cronies is Lamberk and Lerner out ?
Then what wise guy ???
Vaze i was out of the country at the time but still read the papers and caught up with things on line. Now answer me this why did Lerner send his private jet to bring OGS for an interview if he had no intentions of offering him the job and why did he suddenly turn his attention to Lamberk instead of scouring the continent for a replacement for Mc Clueless.I will tell you because he was swayed by those fans chanting Lamberk,s name in hindsight we can all see this was a mistake and he should have bought in a manager from abroad. This is yet another one of Randy Lerner,s bloomers for not having anyone on the board that knows about football.
Apparantly he signed for Cardiff as tan is actually a utd supporter and is happy to let him go there when moyes goes
Sir Oohah the great Lamberk as not been sacked because Randy gave those fans who seen him as the Mesiah the man they chanted for i bet right now he is having a right old laugh at them as our club and fans are being humiliated time and time again.
Aston Villa have been cut from 9/1 to 6/4 to sign Bradford’s Nahki Wells – SKY BET
Wahoooooooo another poundland signing
most of these stories are fertilizer my work mate reckons we signed a guy wells from Bradford or sumat like this, cole is QPR bound ~ I hope we get some experience in midfield someone with alittle vision
