Sheff Utd- Villa; God knows, tbh.

It’s a very short one, as I’m up to my nuts in work again.
I very much doubt I’ll get to see the game.

The truth is, I haven’t really kept track with who we’ve signed and who we’ve lost.
But us looking to bin Adomah is a disgrace, in my opinion, especially when he did such a good job for us last year and was voted as the player’s player of the year.

I know many of us think we need to look towards a younger squad, but is this how you should repay your best performers, even if they’re not performing at the moment?
I believe Adomah has plenty to offer, albeit he needs a rest.
Bruce has denied all sorts, but I’ve no doubt it’s true, given his brother’s comments.

Onto the game then and d’you know something?
I really don’t care about the result here.

That sounds mad, I know, but my opinion is that whatever happens, it won’t be season-defining.

Yes a loss will see us move further down the table, but it’s a long game and one that I suspect that will see us in a better position overall, than tomorrow’s league table.

The sad part is that I can’t be bothered to offer much at all to the debate, as all that matters is results.

Our footy is poor and I’m beginning to wonder what on earth Bruce is thinking, given his attacking signings when opposed to his generally negative approach.

I don’t believe it bodes well, but let’s see eh?

You want a prediction?

1-1.
At best, imo.

  1. I take some time out to slow down, pursue more leisurely hobbies, not reknew the season ticket for first time in 36 years this season (twice actually I moved back to Dublin for a few months in 88), the old lady says Im a changed man, but this fucking dinosaur is bringing us to our knees when are people going to wake up and smell the coffee hes gone there and parked the the damn bus in front of goal but it may as well be a dinky toy parked in front this is what happn when you put a fucking midfielder as a central defender, and a keeper who balls havent even dropped and has no hair on, but most importantly this is what happens when you appoint the same old shyte time and time again the same merry go round of shyte has been managers like moyes, warnock, allardyce, bruce how do these people sleep stealing a living every year.

why we didnt snap spurs hand off for anything over 20mil for grealish people looking at him with claret tint spectacles ontheir nose the boy has not developed pure and simple he is good but has absolutely fuck all end product a luxury we are playing in midfield and we cant afford it, Villa should be leading the pack instead already 6 points behind losing to burton i can live with for the milk cup, drawing against reading, getting thumped by sheffield they are bending us over and caning our arses red raw a fucking absoulte shower of shyte on that pitch and that stupid useless bastard stood there on the sideline looking like he has never seen a football pitch in his lifewhen are people going to realise Bruce the old dinosaur is past it, he still lives in 1999 with his tactics and team, whelen and jedinak there legs gone look at the bench i despair at this club get ri of this fat geordie shyster now hes no good now nor in the future

  2. As most of you know I’ve supported Bruce through last season and thought it was a good idea for him to stay when the new owners took over.

Not any more. I hope that Wes and Nassef have a plan B and can put it into motion over the international break.

I hate to say it but….Bruce Out!

  3. You all know I was in Bruce’s came untill 5 games in , how many of you now are saying what I’ve been saying lately, he’s got to go and quickly to give us a chance, I’m gutted .

    1. Yup – I’ve defended him but enough is enough and we have to find a manager capable of taking us forward but who – that’s the big question.

It’s easy to say but not so easy to do.

The owners will want a ‘name’ so probably forget all the young promising English managers – I hear Henry is still available having turned down Bordeaux!

  4. Bruce will probably survive this debacle, but the end is close. I said 10 games at the start of the season. I wish I had put money on it.

  5. Bruce is scared to try and out score teams. Nearly every game has been do not lose mentality. Perhaps it’s time for a change so we can have fresh ideas, someone who plays players in their favoured positions. Right now I’m totally bemused why on paper we have one of the best squads, yet play each game with caution.

  6. Ok bolaisi and abraham are not available yet but he has all of his defence and midfield player available.
    Totally inept and predictable.
Bruce should have gone after he failed in his remit of promtion last with his top earning squad.

    1. I know I say very few words, mainly as my true feelings won’t get past the censors. Bruce has lost the dressing room and hasn’t a clue tactically. BRUCE OUT.

  7. Not the day Bruce would have wanted, but the pressure is on now. The squad is the envy of most in the league, so if he can’t sort his tactics out soon – I fear for his job.

  9. No excuse will turn me, we have got to thank him for keeping us up and trying to get us up but its over now. If he goes I want the backroom staff to follow him, they have instigated the loss as well.

  10. With the squad we have we should be blowing away most of the teams in this league and matching the top teams. Bruce better be gone by the Monday. Totally useless tactician. I feel that with new progressive manager we could catch up by the new year. Look at how Fulham performed second half of last season with a good manager.

  11. Let’s face it, with a team that we have we shouldn’t be getting hammered. Bruce has lost the plot. No one can defend him from this. Get him out now and choose a new manager during international break. One of our worst weeks since relegation season.

    1. That’s what a sh*te performance does, particularly given the differences of opinion over Bruce.

The owners have to act now – they can’t leave it any longer and this is from someone who likes Bruce as a man and thinks he’s a good guy but it’s not working – I hate to say this but he really does have to go – and that’s not a knee jerk reaction.

Too many average performances laced with awful ones and the odd good one.

I would give someone like Dean Smith a go but I fear the owners will want to make another ‘statement of intent’. Don’t laugh but I think Wenger is still out of a job with Henry as assistant manager!

  12. Think it’s time to try and persuade Brendan Rodgers to return down south. Might be easier done as he not happy at Celtic.

    1. Nice idea but can’t see Rodgers leaving Celtic in the midst of a European campaign nor the owners allowing him to go.
