Oracle Group & Klinsmann to Revolutionise Villa?

There have been a few rumours going around this week that the most potential buy is Larry Ellison, the 5th richest man in the world. Ellisons net worth is roughly £28.45 billion. These rumours start after Larry Ellison was seen at Villa Park watching the 3-1 victory over Hull City. There are a couple of theories as to why Ellison was seen at Villa Park, he either enjoys Premier League football, wanted to buy Aston Villa or Hull City…

Even more recently some (light) rumours are emerging that Aston Villa might be taken over by the Oracle group, which is Ellison’s company. On top of that, Jurgan Klinsmann, current US manager would take Paul Lambert’s job after the World Cup. Klinsmann is a good manager, he’s managed Bayern Munich, Germany and most recently United States. More interesting Klinsmann has been linked with the Aston Villa managerial role more than one occasion.

Obviously these are just rumours and fans will know about the future of their club by next week (hopefully!). Either way there will be change this summer, whether it will be just owner, board or the entire hierarchy of Villa.

  1. As I see things, any rumours are just that. Rumours.

I don’t believe anything I’ve read or heard, because stuff just doesn’t leak from the club, simple!

And if you think it does, please quote me an example.

But, at the same time, I believe SOMETHING is going to happen and it will not involve things staying exactly as they are, with Lerner saying that he’s looking for a buyer/investor.

Something HAS gone on and there WILL be a buyer or an investor.
Otherwise, Lerner wouldn’t have said anything.
Why should he open his mouth if nothing’s happening?
He doesn’t have the history for it after all and getting him to talk in the first place is difficult, to say the least.

Unless, of course, Lerner is totally stupid in coming out with a comment that is only a prelude to “nothing changes, but I just wanted you to buy season tickets”.

He’s advised by people that know money and there’s no way Lerner or his advisors are that stupid.

    Let’s just wait and see.

    1. I think his advisors are stupid. Especially not advising him to get a proper football person at the helm and watch over MON

      1. Proper football person, yes.

MON, good choice at the time, but we missed out. I fail to see where a football person would have changed much, but we’ve been there and done that.

I still want examples where anything has leaked out beforehand under Lerner’s tenure.
        Until then, it’s all speculation.
        No…..correction.

        We’re all guessing.

        1. Football person like a DoF, who’d have bought the type of players O’Neill wanted, but would’ve done it far better than what he actually bought and would’ve probably bought smarter than allowing so many players to not play.

        2. That is why I’ve not commented on Lerner and Lambert’s future, up till now its simple guess work by fans, your right the clubs not that stupid in leaking news of change in ownership or sacking, to much money at stake for both sides. We all want but not in our hands till that fat lady sings.

          1. Morning Bill get the insignificant game out the way tomorrow then hopefully soon after Lerner tells us all what we want to hear.

  2. Maybe he is going to announce he is leaving and handing the club back to the fans (spanish style) ownership. Then we can do what we want with it. We all pay a membership fee and elect a president from our members who then hires manager of their choosing. Until we know for sure anybody in the media or otherwise can write or say anything and people will latch onto it. We will know when we know. But don’t hold your breathe I have a feeling he is staying .

  3. @MatKendrick: Paul Lambert expects Randy Lerner’s statement soon, but says: “It won’t happen before the game and it won’t happen directly after the game.”

Lambert also claims he won’t resign from the job, he’ll have to be sacked. Shocker.

    1. Matt Kendrick knows about as much as we do Andrew.
And he’s been months behind the consensus, in saying that things have to change.

      So why listen to him?

      1. That I do believe though. I don’t think it’ll be before or during the game, as Lerner will want focus, despite there being little on the game because it means little to fans and his announcement means everything. Plus it’s respect for Lambert not to say anything yet. I wouldn’t argue with him being right on that.

        1. Slight change of subject why is our game with spurs televised on sky on sun when it is a dead rubber game?

          1. Spurs are a media’s favorite. Have been since Bale came good, so it’s not surprising.

            1. They were wats a media favourite loads of media support spuds.

  4. To think Lambert’s contract extension was apparently in the bag just a few weeks ago.
    Just shocking, that rumour.

  5. I do think that’s what gets me about this, is that he didn’t get his extension nor has Albrighton like both were supposed too. Wasn’t Albrighton and his agent talking to Faulkner like a week or two ago and a deal was sorted? Unless Lerner and Faulkner are incredibly talented actors and both will sign extensions after say Monday, then I do believe something’s happening.

    1. I think everything is up in the air mate.

Lambert’s extension rumours in Jan, then all of a sudden, Albrighton starts, where it seems the manager didn’t rate him originally?

Things ain’t right mate, I feel it in my water.

With that, I’m knackered and off to bed 🙂

      1. Plus Robinson and Grealish out of nowhere getting chances, but his own signings like Tonev and Helenius aren’t? It shall be fascinating.

        1. i think tonev will come good (maybe) its hard for this type of player 2 adapt quickly 2 premier life, he has the attributes, needs another good pre season and he might make a better fist of the league.

  6. “Lulz, I’ve sold the club and the owners have already sacked you Lambert. You’re jobless at half time. Tonev’s manager for the 2nd half. Bye folks!”

  7. he might say sorry for the shit he put us through, i am gonna splash all my wealth on the team and make u great again nxt season and england will win the world cup lmao 🙂

  8. I think Lerner will stay, a director of football will be employed to negotiate contracts/fees for players that the “management team” want and Pie eating Paul will deal more with the commercial side of things. I put “management team” because I also think that Lambert will make or be forced to make Sid and Given his permanent assistants/coaches. Culverhouse and Gardsa won’t be coming back in my opinion. Money will be made available and I believe the purse strings will be made looser than the last 4 years but not to the extent of the O’Neil days. Of course I could be totally wrong but in my opinion what I’ve written would make sense. Really can’t see a takeover happening. Lerner’s statement will be to say he’s making changes and no takeover is happening, it’s all rumours.

    1. Hope ur wrong b6 coukdbt stand another season of lamberk and Lerner

  9. Lambert will not be manager/coach or anything next year at AVFC, if he was the contract extension would have happened.

I think Lerner will stay owner, and the statement will be a complete reshuffle of the board and a director of football will be announced, along with the new manager and said funds.

This is also why Albrighton’s contract has been stalled because they want the new manager to approve or remove, and currently his agent is talking to Leicester where he will end up.

Finally we may see a few radical changes, but the ethos will be pretty much the same as the past 4 years.

    1. TUCHEL WANTS TO LEAVE MAINZ… He has 1 year left… But has told their board he’s wanted to leave for a couple months now. This is the god damn time to get him in.

      1. 100% agreed, Tuchel would be a dream appointment. Not a big name but the job he’s done at Mainz is fantastic. Right time for him to step up and IMO would literally be a perfect fit for us. My first choice.

        1. German reports claim he’s either going to Red Bull Salzburg and joining their dynasty or won’t manage anyone as Mainz won’t let him go so he’ll sit around for a year.

  10. The negativity on here is crazy… we just need to sit back and see what happens regarding Lerner’s statement, we’ve all tried second guessing him before and that was to no avail, astonishing how all the optimism over a takeover is gone within a few weeks…

  11. “Every source he has at Villa has told him it’s a done deal”… I guess you’d think a few would know it’s done.

  12. Andrew, u rate tonev and baker?? U have no clue about football…baker too many mistakes that cost us, everyone says hes young though….take one look at stones at everton! As for tonev couldnt hit a barn door….

  13. Villa need a rich owner and good experianced players! We need hernandez, lescott, ferdinand, fellani, kagowa, ruddy, cole, and walker then we would be a very gd club and none of them will cost to much
