I’m sure I don’t need to tell anyone how big a game this is.
But the fact is a lot rides on it, as it really could be a season defining game.
It’s quite simple for me.
If we can win this one, it might bode well in giving us a real confidence boost ahead of what would normally be some very winnable games that follow.
But if we lose, you have to wonder how much it will affect a side that already seem incredibly low in confidence, especially when it comes to the attack side of our game.
Enough of telling you what you already know though, so on to squad news;
I don’t think we have any major problems now, do we?
Vlaar’s fit and could well start, if Lambert feels he’s sharp enough.
And of course, Benteke is also available after being dropped on Saturday. I’d play him in this one, personally.
As for Hull, they have new signing Dame N’Doye available and striker Nikica Jelavic might be ready for a return after his knee injury.
Thoughts?
Well, I didn’t see the Man City – Hull game, so the question is did Hull get lucky or actually play well when they got that point? From what I’ve read, they played pretty well at the back and put in a resolute display.
But the important point is, they seemed dejected after City equalised.
Which could prove telling.
In my opinion, a lot will boil down to which side feel more up for it.
How much did Okore’s goal mean to us against Chelsea? And did it give us any extra confidence?
The truth is, I can’t see past a draw, either 0-0 or 1-1.
I just don’t believe the way we play will lead to us beating Hull. We always seem to do poorly against the teams around us after all, don’t we?
Although, in fairness with two wins in something like twenty, you could probably say we don’t do well against anyone.
And I don’t believe Lambert has enough about him to pull anything out of the bag, as in trying something different, to get the result.
I’d actually take that draw, something I can hardly believe I’m saying, but that’s what we’re down to.
I see Lambert has been defending Cleverley today.
My view’s fairly straightforward there. While I appreciate that the manager should defend his players, how Cleverley, who has played lots of games, gets a start over Bacuna, who has actually created something in his rare appearances, is just beyond me.
Cleverley has had lots of time to get into the swing, but he’s been awful in going forward.
Unless the priority is just to stop the opposition scoring.
In which case he’s only been poor.
He needs dropping, the same as Lambert is quick to drop others, even though they’ve offered way more.
It’s no wonder I want Lambert out.
Mclaren and hoddle double act please
Were down and out, such a sorry state for OUR great club..
Sorry, but no review from me tonight; I’m just totally sick.
We have absolutely nothing about us and on that showing tonight, we’re definitely going down, I’d say.
Totally gutless and such poor quality = relegation.
I wouldn’t waste your time reviewing that utter garbage.
Finally fans have woken up we want lambert out chants and banners out at the kc took bloody long enough
Rumour has it gabby broke a sweat running off the pitch at the end.
He should have gone years ago, he a traitor to us Englishman, if you ask me that was deliberately done. Pissing mumbling twat.
This is just cruel for everyone involved now. Bring anyone in with fresh ideas, please! Tom Fox – surely you can see that there is no sign of Lambert turning things around! HELP!!!!!!
SOS!
On that performance you would have to say it’s game over.
Lions be f**ked. We look like pussy cats!
The wheels are falling off. If the owner and his CEO don’t do something immediately they will find themselves with a unsellable club before they know it.
The wheels fell off a long time ago. It’s all very well showing loyalty to your manager, but we are clearly heading one way only. Lambert needs to go for his own sake almost as much as ours. Lerner is probably a decent guy but he really has no clue about football. He should be on the phone with Fox and they should be agreeing to bullet him and they should already have a short list of alternatives. He will make another hopeless appointment if he makes one at all. We are certs to get relegated IMHO.
Unless he is given the boot, we are down…Come on Mr Fox put him out of his misery, the bloke looks ill.
2 years ago after bradford i said this clown will take us down. but those clueless holte enders who argued the toss all i say is thanks very much for backing the wrong horse.
fucking shocking performance sack the twat
I said it after chelsea stuffed us 8.0. Everyone slated me for it typical.
I rarely find the energy to post any more, but this is just f*cking unacceptable. If the man had any pride he’d hold his hands up and admit he’s out of his depth – this has got to be the final straw. The club is no longer dying, it has quietly passed away tonight after a long illness.
I thought we were excellent . Get Ellis back to sack Lambert.
I agree. Any manager with any pride in his job and self-respect would drive into VP tomorrow having ordered a taxi, drop the keys to the posh car on Fox’s desk, and get the taxi to the airport.
Lerner has just hired two heavy-weight commercial directors, 1 each from Arsenal and Spurs, so WTF is he persisting with a light-weight manager?
Except (and it is a big except IMO) for Delph playing instead of Sanchez, Lambert picked the team I would have chosen. He doesn’t need Delph and Westwood on the pitch together and of the two Delph has by far the worse record.
Surely Lambert has simply got to go plan a has never and will never work give “Arry ” a shout even with our squad he might be able to work the. miracle needed he couldn’t do any worse!!!
Tigers 2 Pussycats 0. 10 league games without a win, in bottom 3, worst goal difference in the league, 12 goals scored – joke!
Turn the lights out on the way out Lambert.
My God!!!! Lambert has once again come out with the same old shit!!!!!! So we played well did we!?!?!?!??!? The guys needs sectioning!!!!!
2-0 told you BB
he thinks we played well we played shit the worst i have seen in years
Only chance now is an early Spring when Villa come alive in the sunshine. And can we change the animal on the club badge please – to a tortoise? Famous for hibernating in Winter and having One Foot in the Grave it perfectly embodies the characteristics of the current squad. Wake me up when the clocks go forward zzzzz
A tortoise? We should copy Spuds and change it to a big fucking cock, to match our owner and manager. I say it again, Lambert looks broken. Lerner do the decent thing you selfish Yank. Cut him loose and we may just scrape through.
Small flaccid dicks to match our impotency would be more apt.
If they are going to sack this prick then today’s the day we have 5 winnable fixtures coming up, wait till April and it’s curtains so get your finger out Randy.
Just heard lamberts post match. Another we’ve got to keep fighting So each. What i would like to know is when he and the players are actually going to start fighting instead of spouting the same drivel. Lambert out now to give us at least a chance.
Lambert’s not gonna go. Was nice seeing a banner of Lambert out though. Fortunately I was at work all day and didn’t have to sit through another garbage performance.
Brian Little is the manager of the Gurnsey national team he will do or what about Laudrup total football .
well i cant be bothered writing anything new so i just copied and pasted my last post .
randy must be shitting his pants . And to think it all rides on lambert . you couldn’t make this shit up. if we go down the one good thing will be to know the yank has lost a fortune. it would break my heart but knowing he has lost millions would at least make me laugh for a few seconds until the numbness kicked in . fuck the yank !
well randy how much you going to lose before you fucking wake up and sack this prick !
With Lambert in charge and Gabby as captain/talisman, we are going down.
A complete fucking shambles. Whoever decided to give Lambert a contract extension needs to hold their hands up and admit they made a terrible mistake and that he is not the man for the job.
Notice QPR’s manager leaves and with no manager they get their first away win dumping us into third from bottom. Tom take note. Even if we haven’t got a replacement sack him anyway.
Somebody on one of these posts said we’d only get a dead cat bounce if we changed managers, I’d settle for that right now.
Lambert has to go…NOW
Randy is thinking Lambert is the best man to bring us back up already… You buy a porsche and try to run it on red derv, it will eventually break down, unfortunately our club is like a clowns car when all the panels fall off and the engine blows up….. Thanks for being a great custodian Randy… now pi55 off you tosser
