Norwich and Aston Villa have re-entered negotiations in regards to Norwich’s midfielder Wes Hoolahan. Hoolahan has submitted a transfer request and appears to be desperate to leave Norwich to Aston Villa. Lambert has said he will be trying to be bring in new players prior to the transfer deadline day and it appears as though he’ll finally get his number 1 target on transfer deadline day.
Hoolahan was left out of Norwich’s squad against Newcastle yesterday with Norwich and Aston Villa re-negotating the transfer fee. Aston Villa initially offered a fee of £750,000, it’s rumoured that Villa have increased that offer up to £1 million. The deal will probably be concluded on transfer deadline day.
There are certain rumours that shouldn’t be believed, as I might’ve stated yesterday; but this one I do in-fact believe. Hoolahan doesn’t want to play for Norwich and I reckon they’ll prefer to cash in for their midfielder soon rather than later. Villa are in need of an attacking midfielder and it appears as Hoolahan will be that player. So it appears as the Hoolahan saga may in-fact come to an end this Friday
Wa always going to happen. Not the best, but its another body and a much needed midfield addition!
Yeah were signing a Norwich reject better go jerk off with excitement
Adds a dimension to our midfield that other midfielders don’t currently possess. I hope we get to see Gardner given a run out, ideally tonight as I feel our light midfield would struggle with the intensity involved in a derby game.
I don’t know AVFCJay, I think in terms of intensity/grit/determination we’ll do well, it’s the skill and finesse I’m concerned about with our current midfield
This is exaclty the type of player we need. Wether or not Hoolahan is good enough we’ll see, but for me he is very welcome! UTV
It was always going to heppen this way..
I’l be pleased to see him at the club ok not world class but adds some needed experience in the middle.
I’m sure Wes will be delighted with the welcome he is receiving on here 🙂
Great another below average player in because he is cheap! If we are lookin for a number 10 we should be willing to spend for one not just get the cheapest available, i used to think Lambert was good in the transfer market but now its obvious he doesn’t know how to spend money, i mean he bought a lazio sub for 7mill when we badly needed some creativity and already had loads of strickers and now he finally realised we need creativity but spends peanuts getting a player that we need the most! Fairly crap managing of a budget if u ask me! So that’s crap with transfers, crap man management, and crap interviews, what exactly is he good at again?
He’s good at mumbling Kerry that’s about it!! Holt and hoolihan are signed not because they are only cheap but will be 2 allies in the dressing room for him so it’s political.
and that has to e worrying because his strength was supposed to be man management
Norwich fans actually rate him quite highly. They say that his vision is really good, he understands the game well and he can open up defence’s. Something that VIlla honestly need. He’s also coming for a low price which is always a bonus.
I reckon Lambert will get money to spend this summer. It just doesn’t make any sense that teams around us are spending fortunes, while Villa are just saving.
I think he will add something to the team, he is not Messi but at the same time he is not Tonev.
He is better than anything else we currently have in midfield, was an absolute handful against us last season, I deaded it everytime he got the ball
I think most midfielders are a hand full against our lot tbh
Apparently Spurs want 5.5M for Holtby..
No chance for us then.. for any other ever present Premier league Club that is the equivalent of a 50M asking price..
Also i read PL’s comments regarding Bertrand.. talk about making us sound like tramps… the Hull manager doesn’t give those vibes.. have we really spent every single season in the top flight since the Prem has started..
Summer is crunch time for Villa IMO.. the fans have to be out of there mind to buy a season ticket if it is going to be the 1M 15K players and PL mumbling like he is at Burnley rather tan the Villa…!!!
Maybe Lambert will get both?
Holtby has been linked with a move to Dortmund, but I gotta admit Holtby for 5.5 million is a bargain. I’d snap him up immediately. Besides signing Holtby and Hoolahan would cost Villa a maximum of 7 million.
Hull spent 12 million on Long and Jelavic!
well what a load of crap wes holocrap wont help us stay up did not want him and it wont solve our problem
Shall we give him a chance before we slag him off?
well great news a second pl club as bid for holoran
