Carlos “The Rock” Sanchez signs on for Villa.

Sanchez

Well, it’s nice to post something extremely positive for once, in that we’ve signed a player that the team has been craving for, for years.
While I’m very minded to say “it’s about time”, I won’t dwell on that, as it’s simply a big boost that the club and it’s supporters needed just before the season kicks off.

I would imagine Sanchez will get the biggest cheer by a mile tomorrow (if I read correctly that he’s eligible to play, that is), but we should be careful in not placing too much expectation on his shoulders in my opinion.
I’d suggest he’s going to take maybe a bit of time to settle and I for one am certainly going to give him a while before I judge him.

If he’s half as good as Claude Makelele, who he tries to model himself on, we’ll have a very decent player.

So the deal’s done and I’ll quite simply link to what has been written on the OS, as it’s actually a decent article, with something of substance for once;

  1. yeah lmao couldn’t resist a peep at utd love seeing um lose lmao yeah were on nxt week same time early shopping nxt week, like the supermarket sweep only quicker

  2. wot did you make of young playing left back or if u like left wingback i think against a quick side like villa thats suicide, they are basically playing 3 defenders wished we had um 2day

  3. Wish we had someone like Sevilla’s Monchi to run this club. For them to sell players like Dani Alves, Adriano, Luis Fabiano, Jesus Navas, Negredo, Moreno and Rakitic and replace them with bargain buys to create profits to pay players and keep the club above the red line yet still win trophies and not only play in Europe but take out the Europa League three times in the past 10 years is amazing

  4. If you replaced Senderos Westwood Weimenn and Gaby with Okore Sanchez Benteke and Kozak dare I say it on here but our line up would look good

    1. Benteke and Kozak together? Meh. Weimann and Benteke looked decent together, I’d play them.

      1. Don’t rate Weimann at all. Would prefer a 5 man midfield and Benteke as a lone striker than Weimann in the team

  5. Giddy, Thanks for your concern mate! I thought work permit OK just needs International clearance which I think applies to all overseas players. Anyway someone will no doubt put me right?

        1. sounds like he bottled it yet again 0.0 with dross at the bk so not too bad

        1. im amazed bent has started does fuck all but when he gets a chance usually scores

  6. Half time 0 0….pretty even only one decent chance…Gabby fluffed it…good debuts for Cissokho, Richardson. Definately looking more solid at the back but not too much threat from Stoke.

  7. Great defending by Shawcross. Can see why oohah was so desperate for us to sign him. 😉

  8. Lots to like and it seems there is a bit of Keano in our midfield. These are the teams we have to beat. Fingers crossed and UTV
