Christian Benteke’s agent has spoken out today and said that Benteke’s future will be decided after the World Cup. The Benteke’s transfer saga looks likely to continue for the second summer in a row. Benteke did sign a new 4-year deal last summer but that was only after he handed in a transfer request.
It’s believed that if Benteke has a very good World Cup, Villa will have a real struggle in holding onto their key player. But the same can be said if he fails to feature at all, Benteke may decide that he needs to move in order to break into the Belgium team. The best case scenario for Aston Villa is for Benteke to play a handful of games but never impress to the extent that would see the likes of Liverpool, Atletico and AC Milan interested.
“He wants to get ready for the World Cup. For the future, there is time. Currently it is too early to talk about it.” – Eric Kismet
This season he has failed to achieve the same standard that was set from last season. So far Benteke has scored 10 goals in the Premier League, that 9 short of last years tally. I’m still hopeful that Benteke will stay, and honestly I think he will, but fans will certainly go through another transfer saga. But I’m sure that we’ve all gotten used to them by now!

I see bbc final score having a wankfest over utd win, moyes interview has been shown 4 times now.fucking biased b******s,is it mutv in disguise.
must be sick of the bias toward that team. hope bayern stuff them on tue but just got a horrible feeling utd might win it. nothing else to play for so they have a chance
They have no chance against Bayern. Bayern pretty much relaxed today, few starters actually played and United played their hearts out. Bayern will walk em.
We all thought that when Chelsea played barca and beat them. Wouldn’t write them off
Chelsea can defend really well, do you really think the likes of Mandzukic or even Pizarro would miss the half a dozen chances Benteke misses every single game? Put Manzukic in those situations and we would’ve won as he’s so much better. Plus Bayern’s midfield is so much better and their defense is so much better (yes they conceded 3 today but with a strictly 2nd team defense).
True they are not going to kill themselves and risk injury when they have a big game. I think if Rvp was playing I’d actually fancy utd to shade it. Rooney is playing so well you have to fancy him to bang in a couple on tue. Shame rooneys England form is so shit can’t remember the last time Rooney scored when it actually mattered.
Rooney’s form might be good and all, but you’re vastly underrated Bayern, who are by and large the best club in the world right now. Rooney’s not banging a few past them, might get 1, but I can’t see it. They’re just not near good enough and even us opening them up countless times proves it. Bayern will dominate possession, shots and goals.
Agree they will start as favourites but if utd somehow keep a clean sheet they have a decent chance in next leg. Man city were expected to roll arse over today but were hanging on in the end. Us and palace beat chelski 1.0 against all the odds so u never know. Btw I wonder if mourinho will blame Chris a Foy for losing today even though he wasn’t reffing them!!
