Struggling to find some motivation to go down today , we all know what’s coming , very little possession and maybe 1 or 2 shots on target in the full 90’mins , I will go for 2-0 city a stroll in the park ….. Really hope I’m wrong though .
One last thing doesn’t the side look weak as piss without benteke

This will be the first hammering of the season, I think the score line will be a ridicules amount of goals.

This game will be the fans turning point, especially if he only plays those 2 midfielders.

Today is the day we need to keep the ball, and that is going to be tough and difficult against such strong opposition.

Disagree I think we will scrape a draw today. No pressure on us to win at home today and city will not come to defend so we will be able to play like the away team on the counter which suits us. I’m going for 1.1.

Oohah going mellow in your old age, a draw? or are you saying Vlaar will play a blinder, for a start Navas will run rings round Luna , you will get on on his back saying his fault, sorry 4-0 or 4-1 to M City. I’ve lost hope in we are making progress.

It’ll be typical of Villa fans to start showing there discontent against a team that are favourites to win the premiership, such is our mentality. I’m sure oohah and Terry are rubbing there hands this morning at the thought of another home defeat. I’m not expecting anything from the game points wise, I just hope we show some passion and “give it a right good go”.

Villa fans have been behind lambert all year just because we lose another game at home 3-4.0 then why would that bother us. It’s what we are used to now and Lerner’s and lamberts apologist will say well we lost 4.0 first half but drew 0.0 in the second so we must be good!!

It’s tough to consider anything but a Citeh win today, but! But if we play like our lives depended on it and play like we did against Malaga, Arsenal and Pool (2nd half) you never know. Whatever, me and the grandson are gonna sing our hearts out and have a bloody good time. Better if we win though.

You know there was a time when other teams would write is of if they were playing us. Now how the times have changed. Our huge and proud team are no real concern to anyone in this league. Could you imagine if we went 3 games unbeaten. We would be so thrilled and that is sad!

my major concern for today is we play so narrow and city play wide using navas(agreed will run luna ragged, if he thought Snodgrass was a handful he aint seen nothing yet)and using the likes of kolorov on the overlap on the right the crosses will be flying in all day.
im usually quite positive but im expecting a possible drubbing today, sorry guys.
but its football so you never know eh?

IF we go with a middle two of K EA and Delph we will get destroyed!!

B6.. it is not about discontent it is more about people having excuses lined up alerady saying oh it is Man City so what if they beat us.. that is disgraceful..

Man City have won only 3 out of 10 of there last away Prem games.. Cardfiff beat them and Stoke got a 0-0 this season..

Are we saying them two teams are better then us and we need to write this game off?

3-0 man c, they lost to cardiff because they underestimated them and were bedding in new players, nothing to do with cardiff being better than us! That’s like sayin if we only lose 1-0 we’re better than man u, stupid comments! Btw for all the negs sayin 6 points from our games is a bad start, man u hav 7 and most people (except me) expect them to get top 4. We will lose today but i won’t panic not like the fickle fans on here who the more they talk the more you know they have shit all football knowledge. UTV

Exactly my point! You can’t compare teams based on results against other teams! And don’t think we will see utd make those 10 games in a row this year, they will not fin top 4 said it as soon as they appointed moyes, they don’t hav a top 4 team and they just don’t hav what was prob the best manager in the world!

I’m convinced we will get a draw 1.1 today. Wev picked a very defensive team so can’t see us getting a hammering tbf. Will be the usual though they will have 99% possesion and we will try and get a corner and good we score. So predictable

Villa are a league one team who think they are a premier league team just the way lambert made us our team would struggle in league one man city will get a new record today also we will lose 3 home games on the trot not done that since 1943 under Lerner we have broke all our shit records and fans like nm keep saying how great his running of the club is

No marking for their goal he had 5 villa defenders in front of him that just left him space to score awful. I can see us losing this 1.0 and lambert and Lerner apologists like u coming in after and saying how well wid did losing 1,0. Absolutely toothless up front.

Lol Lerner and Lambert apologist? I don’t like Lambert and don’t want him here, made that quite clear over the last year or so and was against him signing period so claiming I’m a Lambert apologist is a joke. I’m still a fan of Lerner though, will continue to back him.

well thar was always going to happen wasn’t it? 9 corners!! ffs!
good plan to go 5 at the back to cope with citys width but the defence cant defend against a team like city for 90 mins solid without conceding. harsh to go in 1 down though so close to the break.
lambert will either go for it now and change it up and we’ll end up being hit on the break or stay as we are and probably concede at least one more.
just don’t see how we are gonna score 🙁

The problem is that our corners and freekicks are terrible. The only reason we ever score from them is because Benteke win everything in the air, even balls just hung into the box.
