Young Irish winger Samir Carruthers has been sent out on loan to MK Dons until January. The 20-year has featured in a few pre-season games and has been sent out on loan in order to gain more game time. Carruthers has recently signed a new 2-year deal, and is so far part of Lambert’s long-term plans.
“Last year I sat around on the bench a lot, I wasn’t really playing,”
“This year the manager has let me get some game time on loan and I am looking forward to it.
“All I want to do is play football and show what I can do so hopefully I can do that here.” – Carruthers
Carruthers was also one of the stars from the NextGen cup, like Burke he has also been sent out on loan for some more game time.
I will be keeping a watch on both Burke and Carruthers progress at their respective clubs and hopefully they do make an impact. Burke played all 90 minutes in Shrewsbury’s 3-0 defeat to Leyton Orient today.
