Well, silly season is upon us once again! When the clock strikes midnight tonight not only will we be ringing in a new year, but the January Winter Window of 2015 will officially open! So we’ve heard a few rumours so far, such as..
Vlaar and Delph- this has divided many of us, they are entering the final months of their contract and are being linked with a move in January in case the club wish to cash in! Personally, I don’t know why but I can see Vlaar staying, even possibly signing a new contract. I don’t know why but it’s the vibe I’ve been getting from his interviews. As for Delph, I think he’s already gone.. And we could very well cash in on him this window!
Cleverley- again he has fans split, while we all agree he has been a good fit for us, nobody thinks he’s proved to be worth 7.5 million just yet. It sounds like the club feel that way, too. To me recently it seems like Cleverley was brought in as a Delph replacement, and the loan just to test him out as he has just slid in alongside Westwood in front of Sanchez. Who knows what will happen here..
Bent- All over Twitter the word is Bent could be on his way to Palace, I think there could be some truth to this. Didn’t Pardew want Bent at Newcastle that long ago? Personally I think any deal should involve Bolasie coming our way!
Christensen- Delph “replacement”?? I’ve seen a bit of this kid this season, and watched some videos of him online since the link. I have to say he looks the real deal and I’d love it if we signed him up. Watching him play you wouldn’t think he’s just 20! 5 million could prove a worthwhile investment, I think.

darren bent has left according to my paper, to derby and paper quoted they will stump up 18k. well that’s bad business again. ironically the style villa play, this would have offered darren bent more chances. you could have played 2 up top and have cole type behind. just seems silly to be, reportedly after the guy at arsenal (striker) yet let bent go to derby and we must be paying 60% or more of his wages

The truth is, if we sell Vlaar, we still have 4 capable centre backs, so there is no need to buy another one. If we sell Delph on the other hand, we need to buy. I really hope he doesnt buy Cleverley, as that would be a waste of money. I like the look of the lad at Fulham too, at least he would provide some creativity.
Im glad Bent has gone to Derby as hopefully it will give Robinson a chance to get some first team action.
I have a feeling that cleverly was a short term solution but may not play a part in the bigger picture.
Maybe. I think he’s been good, I wouldn’t mind if we signed him permanently. I’d just like to see him add a few goals and assists to his game, starting today.
