I was looking forward to watching Albrighton devolp into a really decent player but unfortunately things haven’t worked out for him for various reasons. wether he has a future at Villa is Lamberts decision but sending him out on loan will hopefully help him re-discover some of the ability he showed he has in the past. It’ll be a good move for him I think.

Its a shame with MA he was really good under houllier and his performance in 2.2 draw with utd was superb. My only gripe was he was awful defensively never picked up his man and made lots of errors. However that could of been worked on. Let’s put it this way is he seriously a worse player than Tonev for example? I think not.

I would have preferred to see him in action again after all he is an out and out winger, how many more player’s going out on loan, if he’s no happy then buy.

Lets face it, Albrighton will never be a PL player. He was massively over rated simply because he is a Villa fan and people wanted him to do well because of that. The reality is he is a mid to lower level championship player.

I’d put Albrighton closer to a safe, lower Prem to upper Championship player. I can’t remember a really good game from him other than owning Evra which everyone was doing. But then Wigan are great at taking players at loan and making them better so I do hope that Lambert lets him go, a month, till January, till next summer. It’s not like Villa will miss him just training, he needs to play, either that or sell him off.

I think he is another Peter Whittingham. Decent enough player but will prb end up spending most of his career in the Championship. Oh well, he should command a decent enough fee if we eventually sell…

Lambert letting Albrighton out on loan just shows he does not want home grown or English or any British players only foreign cheap and useless.Bet he would stab Sir Gabby in the back if he thought he could get away with it.Knows though if he did even his staunch supporters would turn on him.

Erm…. What? This doesn’t prove he doesn’t want home grown or English players. Albrighton has never proved himself good enough to be an EPL winger. Injury hasn’t helped him but a couple decent games is all he’s ever had. A loan deal shows that Lambert wants to test to see if he’s good enough, while knowing that if Albrighton failed in a couple games at Villa Park, he’d get booed off the pitch. Playing the likes of Clark, Baker, Delph, Gabby, Westwood, Bennett, Lowton (not so much the latter 2 as we all know they’ve either dipped in form or weren’t good enough).

I think if his contract expires at the end of this year it’s a last chance saloon for him to show some signs of revival so a no brainer to let him go as he’s not getting any game time with us. But I doubt we will get any fee for him, the likelyhood is his contract will run out and he’ll be off on a free. Still more wages free I guess.
