We’ve teamed up with Bet365: Blatant advert time

Well the above explains it all really.
Except there is a bit more to explain.

The absolute truth is that neither Oohaah or myself are into gambling much, but we realise that some of you are, hence we’re trying to give you a quicker way to do your Villa betting, while reading the site.

It would be remiss of me to try and hide the fact that we’d get a percentage, but the site does cost money to run, so if you’re not already signed up to an online bookie and are thinking of doing so, you might want to give Bet365 a try.

So why Bet365?

Well, the truth is it wasn’t my first choice and I actually chose probably the oldest and largest bookie in the UK (who shall remain nameless), but their promise of a reply to our application in five working days wasn’t forthcoming. So I had to badger them for a reply (see what I did there?).
Anyway, I wasn’t impressed with their slow response, which suggested the reply had gone into my spam box (it hadn’t). They did finally accept us though, in fairness.

Contrast that with Bet365 (who gave the same five day reply), where I applied on Saturday evening and got a response on Monday, accepting us. You just can’t fault that.

I’d already signed up with Bet365, just to check things out, but had a problem logging in.
This was entirely my fault, because of my totally paranoid cookie settings that I have in place due to my dislike of being tracked.
Long story short, I went onto the online chat with a tech guy and got it sorted. Just simply good service/support, which I love.

So, spot on in that sense.

Then there is the streaming. This is really impressive, as you name it, they have the rights to stream it until at least 2014.
I’ve checked it out and the quality is very acceptable, although you can’t get Prem games if you’re in the UK unfortunately, because things are geograpically locked so you can’t see the games taking place in your own country. Great for all the other European leagues though and we do know some of you like to keep an eye on those.

To get the streaming, you just need to pay a fiver into your account. You don’t have to actually bet or pay anything else. Put that fiver in and you’re good to go, with no extra costs.
Of course, they hope you’ll actually bet, but you don’t have to.
Either way, this is good value in my opinion, as you don’t have to mess around searching the net, looking for links.
The bonus is it’s all perfectly legal too.

So there you go, that’s why we chose Bet365.

I forgot to say, I’m going to look into if we can get a script that gives the Villa odds for our next game, as I think that’d be quite useful.

Advertising will ruin this site… Please take it down… Bookmakers in particular are not welcome. You must take into account religions and cultures that do not and will not accept gambling of any sort. This effectively stops anti-gambling peeps (for any reason) from feeling welcome on this site. Is this not then a blatant form of discrimination? Please remove before it offends many Villans that may wish to use this site. Thank you!

Mate it’s an advert anyone can either click on it or ignore it. It’s called freedom of choice. Anyone who is really offended does not have to click on our site no one is forcing them to. I assume these so called religious people didn’t go to VP when we advertised casino company on our shirt. I know loads of villa fans who hate or are offended by gambling but they still went down to vp as its the team they support not the sponsers.

With the live stream, can you watch League and FA Cup games?

Papa Cisse won’t be adding any more comments on here then lol !

Good idea chaps, just gamble responsibly if at all.

Personally, I go with Betfair, but Bet 365 are very good, I know a few of their staff and they insist on high standards.

    Fair play lads.

Religion has nothing to do with it. It’s a link, an ad, you’re by no way promoting gambling or making anyone play.

It’s a good job Villa don’t have a Phillipino gambling company on their shirts or it would cause…oh.

This site must be self funding, we can’t expect it to be run as a charity, especially a charity without donations. I reckon you have limited options when it comes to sponsors like betting, drinking and pies!!! Keep up the good work guys. UTV – a draw or a win to kick off the season.
