Ok, so things haven’t gone quite as planned.
I’ve made a mug of myself twice in first saying it was going to happen and then saying it was imminent.
BWS capped it for me, when he asked when it was going to happen, so sod it, I’ve made it happen.
No doubt some things will go wrong and some things won’t be working correctly.
Just bear with us and we’ll hopefully sort it.
In the meantime, we’ve stuck a few non-time relevant posts up.
They’re out of date, but better than reading nothing.
Please use this as a feedback post to tell us what we need to sort out.
I’ll sort a link out that shortcuts to the old site, as and when.
New site and a hopefully rising Villa.

I submitted an article earlier this evening on the “old” site, mate. has that now disappeared into the ether? (You might not have wanted it anyway!)
We will never refuse or even change an author’s comment mate (very slight grammatical editing, if we can be arsed, apart) unless it’s totally stupid.
It’s news and VIEWS remember!
Hence it is is actually more responsible than it first sounds and we don’t just ask anyone.
You have to be reasonably balanced to be an author 🙂

We have Patrick who does the pre-match stats, but do you mean general stats overall?
That’s a nightmare, but we’d love someone to come in and do that.
I was just looking over the new website and clicking on all the buttons to see what was there. Then I noticed under the “statistics” button there was the statement, “Will be Updated for the 2013/2014 season.” So obvious with the new look I was curious to know what you guys had in mind. Patrick has been great with his pre-game coverage and general stats! I hope he continues to contribute this upcoming season. Myself personally, I love reading and looking at statistics, tables, and graphs as much as the next guy, but I just never have the time to crunch the numbers myself.
Off the top of my head that section could be a lot of different things. In addition to Patrick’s stats, it might be cool to use that section as a useful reference tool on the website. Historical stats, past achievements, EPL tables from the last 5 seasons, opta stats graphs or links, etc…
