Villa should take a leaf out of Norwich’s book!

So another premier league manager gets sacked. Unfortunately it’s not the one we all hoped for. The Norwich board felt they had no choice to sack him after losing 4 of the last 6 games. Last season he took Lambert’s Norwich to a respectable 11th whilst Lambert struggled to keep us up.
As a btw Norwich are only 2 points behind us and could still finish ahead of us. Although I do not condone missile throwing at least Norwich fans showed their displeasure in their manager and are not prepared to tolerate dross like our fans who can’t be bothered and happy to accept what they are given.

Therefore 32 points is not good enough for the Norwich board where 34 points and losing 10 games at home is good enough for our board!
In a nutshell Norwich have more drive and ambition than Lerner ever will.

In an ideal world Norwich would try and poach Lamberk back to Carrow Road. I’m sure plenty of fans would happily walk him there from B6.

Of course that is just wishful thinking but with us all but safe surely it’s time for Lerner to be ruthless and pull the trigger. A new manager now would have 6 virtual pre season season games to assess the squad before the window opens. This would be a huge advantage for any incoming manager.

Lerner you have turned this club into a joke and only you can rectify it. If you won’t go at least give us a forward thinking manager that has at least 10% more tactical nous than Lambert.

Kind of like the reports on twitter that N’Zogbia’s claimed he’s not actually injured, and they simply won’t let him train with the club so he’s basically on vacation.

Anyways, Hughton’s a poor manager, but they were smart enough to promote from within, someone who just might know enough about the players despite having no experience at the top flight that he can get them to give 1, maybe 2 good enough performances to stay up.

The difference between the 2 clubs is the Norwich owners are supporters and watch their team play! The only thing our owner watches in regards to Aston Villa are the financial statements.

    Paul Lambert 70 Premier League games, 75 points;
Chris Hughton 71 Premier League games, 76 points.

Yet Lamberk remains. Unforgiveable from Lerner.

We can now add Norwich to the long list of teams with more ambition than us…..
Even N’Zogbia has written on Instagram that “they won’t let him train” indicating that he’s fit but frozen out. Absolutely disgusting from the club.
    LERNER OUT, LAMBERT OUT

I wouldn’t say Norwich have more ambition, but they have the hardest run in of any club with Fulham away, 3 of the top 4 and United left. Hughton is a poor manager who wouldn’t get anything from those games and they’re desperately hoping their youth manager can get the team going against them. We at least have an easier run, not that that means anything, but Tottenham are linked with Lambert and I truly hope it’s true, but I doubt it.

Yes they should, he Lerner, should get back over here and take charge of what’s a disaster to our club, I cannot understand why the board have not shown dissent and called for action to put the club back on track, to me they are just muppets being taken for their money. As I’ve said talk with your feet, it worked in the 70s its our City and our club being laugh at.

Wasn’t Lambert to Spurs an April fool. If not it should be the man is a Joke.
I can believe the story about N’Zogbia being fit because he is a high earner and would automatically have been included in the bomb squad. Gabby gets away with it because he is the local lad.

I have heard about the CNZ tweets but they are not on his profile. I like CNZ and feel he was one of our best players last season. Under the other idiot he had no support from anyone and so it was inevitable he would suffer.

Lambert has to go if only to give Lerner and Faulkner a reprieve. They should sack him immediately. Incompetence is like a virus as is blame and it spreads very quickly to everyone who works in a failing organisation.

Lambert should resign to save his own dignitiy

Is it time we had a mass boycott of a home game. i think fans should stay away from the Southampton game if they are not happy with the management or the board. Whether you blame Lambert or Lerner(to me its the samething). If you are happy with what is going on at Villa and are happy to be fighting relegation season in season out then attend the match.

We have had this for too long and its shocking how bad it is, we are in another relegation fight and probably will be again next season. Its time us fans did something about it

Agree boycott should happen especially for buying merchandise.

I think atm a boycott of a game as a warning that the fans are not happy would be enough. If people stopped buying merchandise then this would be an excuse for Lerner to spend less on the team.

A boycott of the Southampton game is enough at this moment, no protests as they make fans look stupid. An investment is needed in the squad in the summer and it should not be done by Lambert. If we get relegated not only will they lose the Prem money, they will also have a loss of revenue with fans not attending matches. Look at the likes of any team in the Championship bar Leicester and possibly Burnely and you see a lot of empty seats.

I cannot see us surviving another season of this flirting with relegation if we manage to survive this season

“If people stopped buying merchandise then this would be an excuse for Lerner to spend less on the team”. Are you serious he couldn’t spend any less if he tried. It wouldn’t make an iota of difference he will always shop at primark no matter how much money comes in.

At last we have men as fans, that’s exactly what fans should do, as long as we go they will feed us tripe games, while we have chicken media writer’s that are frightened to start slateing Villa because they might not get privileges in free entrances and snacks plus being told not to go into press box nothing will get done.

The fact he’s gonna “ask” for more transfer funds is kind of funny as he’s blown 44m (40m netspend), 15m directly on 2 strikers and he wonders why we’re not good enough when you buy in excess of 15 players for the remaining money.

Now some people think the total waste of space that Nzog is/was is worth beating Lambert up over. did it not occur to you when he has no official squad number he along with Bent, Ireland, Hutton and Given were part of the new bomb squad. Many fans applauded Lambert Lambert over the old Bomb squad of Dunne, Collins, Warnock etc why the difference now ?

Because nzog is actually a decent player if given a run in the team. You can’t honestly say he’s worse than tonev ffs. In the latter part of last season he player well and was starting to look the part.

Which now begs the question if you pay peanuts you get monkey’s, he wanted to pay peanuts, N’zog wanted no part of Lambert’s ideas, he had is chance (Lambert) with getting Barry but the big headed sod was stubborn, how many times have we wanted a player like N’zog, he could have called him back. The man is a f*;king idiot of the first order.

Lerner with a 5 year plan? Sure this wasn’t a Chinese whisper that started of as ” I’m going to my Villa and there I’ll get a tan?”

I’m still amazed he hasn’t been sacked yet I keep in checking websites but nothing. If he’s still here for our next home game fans have to let their feeling known and call for his head. Let’s do it before game kicks off at half time and full time whatever the result.

Question is, why hasn’t it been done yet? Fans can still back the players, sing their hearts out for them as they have no direction from management so they probably need the backing themselves, plus it’s not like they can go and a new team can be brought in now, but why haven’t fans chanted Lambert out? He’s recognized the boos, and like McLeish has said all the right things “they can do what they want, they spend their money, Villa should really be doing better at home” yada yada… Just don’t sing another manager’s name… That’s about it. :p

Because fans that try and start lamert or Lerner out chants usually get shouted down by Lerner’s mafia. I’m sure he employs fans to maintain a certain status quo IMO. Bit like the Italian sides do. The best thing we can do is shout for pochetino when we play saints like we did when we shouted for lamberk to get mcleish out. Basically it worked well. Better still chant mcleishs name if that dosnt do it nothing well. How about bring back our Alex to us to us lol

Yes I was there BWS, never again till the inevitable happens, yes there that different, I looked at Lowton he seems a lost sole in that team frightened look on him, Westwood piss him off ,also Clarke, only 4 in that team was on the pitch, Holt played well I know he’s carrying a stigma about who he was and weight, but fair play played well, like you I’ve had enough now refuse to watch a shit team.
