Villa – QPR; A shoe in. Or maybe not

I told you we’d do Norwich, didn’t I?
Ok, we didn’t score more than two goals as I predicted and the truth is we looked the poorer team.
Yet we still won.
This is what matters; points on the board.
And we’re getting them.
It didn’t take a miracle prediction, but maybe some of you doubters can now see where we are?

We’re going to do QPR too, simple as.
Why?
God knows, save momentum is on our side.

I can look into the ins and outs, but none of it matters.
We’re involved in a bigger game, where we’re easily the form side in the table.
Lady luck is now the only one who counts and until we lose a game I’m really not writing off a play-off place.

I know I really shouldn’t, but it’s the hope that keeps us alive, isn’t it?

Villa to win; 2-1.
I was going to predict Hourihane to score, but hmmm.

Interesting commentary Badger. BBC stats would suggest it was a relatively straight forward victory. Possession roughly even with Villa 11shots / 3 on target to QPR 5 shots / one on target. Just demonstrates that stats can be misleading!

For me it shows Villa’s new found resilience and organisation – 1-0 after 5 minutes and see the game out. Not pretty but for how long have we bemoaned our ability to do just that. Onwards and upwards.

Good post H60 we are finally learning the art of holding on to a lead. But is it more by luck than judgement?

A string of wins; probably unlucky to lose at Huddersfield and a string of clean sheets – so not just a one off. I would say more down to judgement than luck.

Possibly but opposition have missed a few sitters. But every successful team has to be built from the back imo u don’t concede u don’t lose. Unless you have a forward line of Messi Neymar and Suarez of course.
