Villa – Man City FA Cup: Pressure off for this one?

I’ve just read a story that suggests that City will be bringing five of their kids as part of their squad for this game.
I’m not suggesting they’ll start, but it might be an indicator that Pelligrini might not be looking to go all out for this game. Not that it matters much really, I suppose, as you’d expect a weakened Man city side to beat most teams on average.
But the same story also mentions that the likes of Aguero need resting.
Again, it doesn’t really matter much, but City haven’t travelled very well lately and that might at least give us some glimmer of hope.

City have Kevin de Bruyne, Samir Nasri, Vincent Kompany, Aleks Kolarov, Eliaquim Mangala and Wilfried Bony all out, which is the best part of a very good side and again shows the gulf between teams at the top and er, us.

As for us, it’s no change, with Hutton and Sanchez out.
There’s a hint Gabby might get a game, but I don’t see it, as Remi Garde has made his position clear about his views on the player.

We’re in good form by our standards, but it’s interesting to note that we’ve won more cup games than league games this season and that’s another shocking statistic this far into the season, but never mind.

As for my thoughts, well I’d say it’s all going to be about goals isn’t it?
And more the thought that we don’t score many.
I think we might get one, but City are capable of getting plenty.
I’m going to guess we’ll hold our own for a long period, but ultimately lose 1-2.

But the thought of a win is enticing and although it’d be too late to kickstart the season league-wise, the thoughts of a cup run appeal and I’d now take doing a Wigan, in winning the cup and getting relegated.

There’s nowt wrong with dreaming is there?
