So this is yet another game where I’m not sure to think.
The good news is that Jack Grealish will start and as captain, no less.
Dean Smith is obviously quite happy to go along with the hype that we’ve had from the club this week in naming him captain, but that’s certainly something I wasn’t expecting.
Still, I’m not knocking the decision and quite like the idea that our playmaker is in charge.
I do wonder though if we’re placing undue pressure on Jack’s shoulders and maybe expecting a bit too much from him.
Regardless, if it works, it could inspire the whole team and boy, could we do with three points today.
The teamsheet is out and it’s pretty much as suspected, with Steer in goal, Elmohamady at right back, with Hause on the opposite side and Elphick and Mings in the centre.
Grealish will be assisted by Hourihane, with Whelan playing the anchor. The question there, is which one will Carroll be swapped out for?
On the wings are Adomah and El Ghazi.
And of course, Abraham up top.
All pretty much as expected really.
What to think?
Well both sides are in a poor run of form and apparently derby were abysmal against Forest, which given it’s their Derby game, must be a bit worrying.
Whereas while weren’t brilliant last week, we did show resiliance in coming back at Stoke.
I’m inclined to say I see this as yet another 1-1 draw.
I certainly don’t see many goals.
But the optimist in me is hoping Grealish is straight on it and does indeed inspire us to a victory.
In which case, I’m going for a 2-1 win, with Abraham to get back in the scoring groove.
