I was so stressed i turned over just before the Baggies scored. Could only stay away for about 3 mins so couldn’t believe it was 1-1 when I turned back on. TBH I only turned back as I decided to see what Grealish played like.

massive win. What a finish. Hopefully Gabby and Benteke will score a few more now, and the team must get a massive confidence boost from that. Fair play to the team to keep going right to the end after being pegged back.

Quality performance, hunger, desire and passion, all you want, yeah they were nervy but you can expect that. At last a bit of luck, foster looked dodgy all night. Was great to see some zip in our passing, moved it about with pace, much more like it, well done lads, well done Tim sherwood

Sherwood fielded the team who got us into the crap, rather than anyone bought to get us out of it. I have to say all the players I don’t like put in a real shift in the first half, so hats off to Gabby, N’zog, Cleverley and Delph – not forgetting Lowton trying his best at LB and eventually blagging that penalty. Great finish from Gabby and very close to another.

Some of that dubious white stuff left behind by Culverhouse must have gotten into the tea. The team that emerged for the second half were dazed and second to the ball, whereas in the first half they had been winning even the 40-60s. Still the defence looked good enough until that corner. Then Guzan’s inability to dominate his area cost us. Lescott had to move away from the goal line to head the ball back – so it would have taken a phenomenal header to direct it into the net from where he met the ball. Therefore Berahino was the only target that Lescott had that Guzan needed to cover. He never moved.

2 days ago I said I was feeling sick…….and in 90 +4 mins it was just terrible……looking through fingers and just seeing Bentekes feet……….yes yes yes………

Thought the last min pen at Chelsea (Barry 4-4) was unbearable but this was 10 times worse….still in the brown stuff and all the other teams know how to stop us now.

The thing that got me the most about that game from watching on TV was the atmosphere in villa park. The doom and gloom was not there. I know it was a derby game but this is the sort of atmosphere that needs to be produced for every remaining home game. I think it actually intimidated the Baggies for most of the game. We have to believe in these players from now until the end of the season. Everyone of them put a shift in tonight including Cleverly. There are good players in this team just short on belief in their own ability.

    UTV.

Good interview from Sherwood on BT sport tonight. Looks like he has got a clear idea what he wants from the team, and knows we are not a team of scrappers, so need to be on the front foot and controlling the game, and commit players forward. What a refreshing change.

I got the same impression DS, he knows what we are about and didn’t want to say it but thought we maybe a little unfit…. Well from what I have seen over the last two games he is certainly making them eat their 3 shredded wheat now.

He also said that the squad is not set up for a relegation battle. We are more mid table Europa cup team. Says it all about Lamberks tactics.
