Terry Jones has submitted the following;
I submitted an article titled “Lambert Out” but it has not been posted and I am wondering as to why.
Is it that nobody wants to hear the truth? as some comments so far are still making lame duck excuses for Lambert’s failings by saying give him time to sort it out.
Sorry to say, time is running out fast as we no longer have a team that is worthy of our support.
Since Lambert came to the club he has spent somewhere in the region of £40 million but not on players of quality.
Each transfer window as one poster has said we are linked with players in the region of £10 million or so giving the fans hope that things will get better. None of these signings however materialise and all he does is waste money on players in the region of 1 to 2 million either from the lower leagues or abroad and all he says is the vision is for young hungry players and building for the future. This reminds me of the crouchy advert. Hungry for success? no way. They are only hungry for a bigger wage packet than they were getting at the clubs they were playing for.
As it stands the club is devoid of direction, ambition or leadership and since he has been at the helm we have picked up more unwanted records than at anytime in our great history.
So is it not fair to say that we now need a new captain of the ship before it sinks without a trace?
The truth is yes. Lambert was never and never will make it as a top manager. His record speaks for itself and unless there is change either by Lerner sacking him or Lerner selling up or new owners taking over and bringing in a top manager who can attract players to the club then I am afraid that the situation is not going to get any better soon.
All we are going to see is the demise of a great club we all love and support.
Lambert must go or all we will get is seeing our club struggle year in year out. I don’t think this is what most fans want, not after the past four years.
Your thoughts please.
