I would say if UTD come in for him he’s gone LVG will be given a substantial kitty & will be poaching for most of the Dutch internationals around Europe.we are a club in limbo with no direction capped wages so what the FUCK could we offer him????

Who would blaim him? Oohah might, but honestly tell me how interesting is life at Villa park, anyone that’s had a few seasons are glad to go, we do need people that have interest in owning and running Villa, and not what we have now. Time will tell its going to be very tough to be a Villa fan in today’s world.

I personally think he’ll stay. I think he might be fed up with the drinking culture but I don’t think a move will be on his mind, unless it’s a step up, like European football step up. Yes United’s linked, but they won’t go for him. Van Gaal’s not really a long term manager, but he’ll look to set up United for the future, while still looking to win trophies and at Vlaar’s age, he needs to play with a few good young Dutch CB’s, he’ll wanna make it at least to the Euros, if not the next World Cup so playing is 100% going to be his priority.

Honestly while people are worried, and yes clubs will be linked, I don’t think there’s too much worry that clubs will be interested as at his age, he’ll still cost a pretty penny to Villa and I do think he’ll be offered a new contract even if we don’t get taken over.

players av ambitions and there lays the problem, at present our club has none. vlaar has been very good for aston villa, entering his last 12 months on his current contract.also holland performing well to date in wc
any good offer for the player and captain, then lerner may force the management to allow him to go.

Honestly I’d be shocked if Lerner allows the sale of anyone under him, as that could annoy any potential buyer as he sells one of Villa’s best players behind their back. Think any movement out would be the lesser’s like Helenius, Sylla etc, and if there was a big offer for a bigger player, he’d wait.

Pretty sure, but then I’ll be surprised we’ll get a big enough bid for Lerner’s liking + he’d be willing to go too. A few need good CB’s, but there are a few available for them.

Unfortunately he is our only true DM, sadly he’s never been played as one, but he is.

Johnson is probably better than him already. Gardner. But then neither are true DM’s.

Have a few decent kids, Lyden, Cowans that could possibly replace him.

“Does not like the drinking culture at Villa” OK but how the hell will he fit in at Old Trafford? I seem to remember a centre-half making the opposite journey to get away from the drinking culture in Manchester.

I think I remember that the person your on about moved because of the drinking problem, he went absent a few times at Man utd,, he also did a Villa. Most of what was published with Vlaar was taken out of context, what he’s saying is he is staying away from drinking with the lads, he’s on WC duty, I don’t think he will move for a while yet, might be different next season should Villa not get new owners or show positive in roads to going forwards in the league. Giddy having problems with site at minute but will sort, thanks for your concern.

I think Vlaar has been decent when he played we had a better win ration and a less than 1 goals conceded stat.Okore he’s young have to wait n see on him strong, athletic yes can he read a game?Sendeross will have a point to prove and I think he will give his all for the claret n blue……Still with that said we as a club as a whole are way off our own benchmark of where we deserve to be and in need of major cash investment….UTV

I think vlar is off after the world cup if he keeps playing well then his stock will be high and with only 1 year left on his contract lerner will cash in, he is a good defender and we will not give him the wages he will feel he deserves but other clubs will so unfortunately he will be off to man u or QPR or whoever is willing to pay the goin rate for him. Senderos to take his place…god help us!

Turkish Super League side Trabzonspor have been in talks with Aston Villa striker Darren Bent.

Trabzonspor’s CEO Burak Gurdal met with Bent’s agent this week in Istanbul to discuss personal terms. The 30-year-old striker has one year remaining on his contract with Aston Villa.

Just completely shocking what’s happenng at Villa Park..

Vlaar and Delph contracts not being renewed..

Sh!t and injury crocked freebies coming in..

PL still in the job despite breaking all sorts of records..

We are in dire straits and have an owner who is totally and utterly clueless..

Spot on Lionheart. We are at this moment the most unattractive proposition of all the 20 PL clubs (and many in the championship also).
Hence we’re left with the shit freebies nobody wants and I doubt any decent player like Vlaar would want to renew. Pathetic and embarrassing. I’d rather the club was killed off than have it in its present shambolic form. William Mcgregor must be turning in his grave seeing what lamberk and lerner have done to our once proud, now embarrassing turd of a club.

Got this after coming online from a friend. Upon research, there is a Michael Kennedy who works for Merrill Lynch. Not 100% sure why he’d be in England but who knows.
