Sunderland 0 – 3 Villa; We add to their sad demise.

While of course I’m chuffed that we won, so I also feel quite sorry for Sunderland.
I’m sure that I’m not alone in thinking that if things had carried on the way they were, it could very well have been us that suffered relegation from the Premier league, followed by relegation to league one.
And it seems to me that that’s where Sunderland are heading.

Sunderland offered nothing and it reminded me totally of us when we went down.
Everything they tried didn’t work. They only really offered one option, which was to try the counter. They weren’t very good at that either.
And then they simply weren’t good enough at all.
Add to that, the “we’ve seen this all before” type attitude, which leads to them mentally rolling over and that was us all over.

I’m not sure what to think about today’s performance.
Yes, the result was pretty emphatic, but I didn’t see anything special or particularly good.
Don’t get me wrong. We did enough to justify the result and it’s hard to be critical, but it’s just difficult to judge against such poor opposition.
Man of the match was Snodgrass, as I felt he drove us forward the most.
I like the look of Grabban. He seems an intelligent player.
Adomah tried hard in what was a decent return performance.
And Grealish made an appearance, with a couple of decent runs and one decent shot.

It’s all good.
Which is just as well, seeing as the rest of the top six won too.

We’ve gained on Wolves, albeit maybe temporarily, but the match against them is beginning to look very, very tasty.

Onwards and hopefully upwards, eh?

Wow. Didn’t see that coming. Tremendous effort from the whole team and we made them look shocking at the back so fair play to all of the players, and even well done to Bruce from me for a change.

Bill – yes watched it with all my Villa mad family – kids, kids partners and grandkids after a steak and chips supper – it was mad, mad, mad. Lots of wine drunk – what a great Saturday night – perfect! And Grandad made a real exhibition of himself LOL but do I care?

i posted this morning and my posts were in administration. i was in the can without baseball and glove. i did misspell my address and name lol but my two posts were brilliant, one was a joke my mate told me. maybe it was that reason the post disappeared.

anyways the game what a fooking result yes yes yes. firstly i cant believe we best them secondary what a with that scoreline too. i take my hat off to all the players. i dont even what to single out one or two. they all put in shifts. they beat a top side and second half they were worthy of the scoreline. they rustled wolves and i never seen wolve players miss place their passes like that. we really got under their skins second half

anybody see our coaches and sb celebrate in front of wolves back room staff and manager. i think they were recreating their celebrations at wolves they did in front of the villa staff

Outstanding performance, particularly the second half. After Cardiff and Fulham won I was starting to think it was going to be a shit day but it’s still all to play for. All players were excellent. Grabban could be the player to take us over the finishing line.

To all the doubters who were slating Bruce earlier on in the season. To the same posters on here who go on as if they know better than a bloke who has already achieved 3 promotions from this division to his name. To all those posters who question his team selection, his tactics or his style of play.

YOU HAVE NO IDEA AT ALL.

So maybe, highly unlikely, but maybe you’ll sit on the fence before jumping in and slating a guy who has done wonders at this football club.

WE HAVE THE BEST MANAGER FOR THE JOB. WE ARE VERY VERY LUCKY!!!

    IN BRUCE I TRUST.

    UTV.

I think it just shows how when we have full health we have a team to win this league. Even with Kodjia out. Bruce deserves our upmost respect. 7 points from top! We should still believe!!

can i post a you tube reaction of wolves fans ? they are gutted and they are complaining about their manager picking the wrong team. we think we are deluded lol they lost so few this season and this is only one result were they got a little hammering in the scoreline.

or just look yourself //// shell shocked wolves fans blast second half performance
