If you wish to send a news item, opinion, a story for publication or any feedback on this blog please enter the details here. One of us will hopefully pick it up and might print it. Please be aware though, that because we all work and do this in our own time, the article may not be read until it’s too late, hence making it somewhat irrelevant.

We do our best to publish submitted articles and highly encourage them, but please don’t be offended if your particular article doesn’t get published because we saw it too late. We assure you it means nothing.

ANY views are welcome, as long as they’re Villa related, but all we’d ask is that they’re reasonably well composed and with half decent grammar. We just don’t have time to spend ages editing.

Up the Villa!

  1. To me McLeish and lambert were not the men for the job we have some damn good players but lambert hasn,t got a clue how to put them together or what position they play best in

  3. 1952-53 season was my first visit to Villa Park. I have supported them ever since, through the highs of our cup final win over the Busby babes league cup wins championship and European cup win, and the dark days of the late 60s and early 70s in divisions 2 &3. What ever is said about the board of those dark days they were Villa supporters and knew when to move on.
What are we left with today a Liverpool born Manchester City supporter accountant, American CEO heading a transfer committee that have wasted 60 million on substandard players. I have lived in Spain for 15 years but have travelled to support my team and will no doubt continue to do so, but I see the dark days returning with these clowns running the club.

  4. Latest depressing pathetic result is just in at Watford. Managed to spinlessly concede two stoppage time goals to keep up the run of never ending defeats.

If I performed how these no commitment players do at work, we’d go very hungry. Part of football’s attraction is its relationship to life lessons – e.g. it’s a struggle, never give up, work hard as part of a team/family. The only life lesson this teaches youngsters is no effort, pride, commitment or determination gets well rewarded financially and you should reward yourself for this by partying like you’ve done something of note.

I shall never take my son to see another game while any of this crop of embarrassing losers are representing this great club.

  5. Sort your crap out villa I’ve supported you from a baby now 47 an all I see fr the last few years is crap. Invest in a team n get back up all I can see is a team going down another division n your neva gonna get out of it your playing s**t sunday school football come on dr John put some money into the team. Spend MORE money on the team n stay off dance dance revolution m x box games

  6. Why didn’t we pay for a decent forward. Wesley is rubbish. Very bad business . Should of got a proven PL striker and paid the money

    1. Craig, can you really comment on a player after just two games?
I’ll agree it looks like we should have got another striker, but it’s a bit early to slate him.

I think him getting a goal could massively boost his confidence.

      1. He’s rubbish and needs to step up. I’ve been a villa fan since 77 and it’s a waste of money. Time to play like barca did with no recognised forward. Interchange the midfielders as we have many good ones
