Ron Vlaar Out for Four-Six Weeks

Aston Villa have confirmed that Ron Vlaar will be out for four-six weeks with a knee injury. It appears as though this knee injury as a re-occurrence of the knee injury that Vlaar picked up during the World Cup. Vlaar just recently returned from injury a few weeks ago but limped off against Crystal Palace.

However, on the bright side this injury closes the possibility of Vlaar moving in the January transfer window. Meaning that it is very likely that our skipper will be leaving the club as a free agent, unless of course he signs a new deal between now and May.

Currently Aston Villa have two centre-backs fit, Okore and Clark. Both have been playing terrifically, with the pair keeping 7 clean sheets between each other. While Baker remains injured, Senderos is nearing his return which will only boost Aston Villa as Villa head into a tricky fixture in the coming up weeks.

  1. As dismal as it is predictable. We go to a poor team and set up to defend. Utterly hopeless. Lambert will not be sacked as he doesn’t bitch and moan about having no money to spend. I am in despair.

  2. I cannot remember ever seeing a Premier Team so lacking in confidence. They have forgotten how to play the most basic of skills. Look at Albrighton 3 or 4 times to the byline and good quality crosses. Where did he learn that? Benteke doing his hot potato act again. We can do so much better

    1. Lots of ITK’s claiming we have just had a shot on target. I can’t believe that though!

  3. GREAT SAVE!

Brad Guzan is keeping Aston Villa in this game as he parries Marc Albrighton’s volley away. The visitors are struggling.

    No surprise here

  4. Bencey – we’re a team of (highly paid) ‘hard workers’ with not one player i would regard as creative. A creative goal scoring winger and attacking midfielder isnt even a question now – its either bought or we’re done for

    1. Give youth a chance, play grealish and Robinson as wingers with 2 strikers for a change and we might get something

          1. Thats been the problem since Lamberk took over.
Weimann and Agbonlahor are “centre forwards” but always play as wingers.
Its clueless and has been from the moment this stupid mumbler got the job.

  5. Absolutely terrible; only Clarke and Guzan can leave the pitch with credit – the rest abysmal and as for Benteke on this form he’s not worth £30 let alone £30m. Sorry guys but we’ll be lucky to survive this season (so nothing changed there then!)

    1. Think this is the year, lambert don’t let the door hit you on the arse on the way out, numpty

  6. The know a lots will be on soon giving why we lost, I’ve known this for 4 seasons ,and they skill say give him a chance, he knows fuch all about English football. Well a fight on the pitch Clarke off a and James.

  7. we lost to the bottom team.. im so sad good job im getting pissed, at least Clark has some fight in him.

  8. Fucking shit. Fuck off Lambert. Don’t try to blame Lerner for this shit. There is enough talent in the team to produce a few decent performances if we had a coach that could do just that. Fuck of Lambert you are the worst manager in the history of this club ! Relegation is a sure thing if he sticks around. Our luck will run out eventually. Ask Wigan fans.

  9. I’ve totally lost patience with this now. 1 shot on target in 90 minutes of football and another sending off! This could be our year to go down. All the other teams seem to be showing signs of improvement.

  10. highly likely we’ll be bottom three come the Hull game now, and might not score before then in the league, which means added pressure so he’ll only start the experienced players so no chance now of seeing Grealish or Robinson IMO

    1. Villa have no fight in them. Should be ashamed of themselves for what they are putting us fans through. The fans that keep backing Lambert remind me of victims of domestic abuse that keep making excuses for those that inflict it. Tom Fox, it’s now time to force lerners hand. Tell him make funds available for a few decent players and a new manager to coach them.

  11. not scoring against the Pool would mean two months of the season where we didnt have a goal of the month entry…that would be some record!

  12. Villa fans at carrow road may 2012
You ruined our club. Give yourselfs a great big pat on the back

  13. Lambert must be sacked this week if not we as fans must force him out unless you want championship football protest at Liverpool game bring it on

    1. Agree but no will bother next week pritesting just wont happen. A few grumbkes us aboyt it

    1. You shoukd get ur wish hooefully with ckeverky but kerber and kamberk no chance
