Randy wants to sell, selling price £250M and £90M answer

Well some fun and games today and some journo’s printing a story Randy is looking to sell.  So today we had this unsual comment from Pat Murphy.

After reports in a tabloid newspaper that Aston Villa’s American owner Randy Lerner is prepared to sell the club for £200m, BBC Sport’s Pat Murphy tells BBC Radio 5 live: “Randy Lerner has treated that story with disdain.

“I have just spoken to Aston Villa’s chief executive Paul Faulkner; he says he has spoken to Lerner and the story is nonsense, there’s no truth in it.

“Faulkner says he speaks to Lerner three or four times a day and he watches every game, no matter where he is in the world.

“He (Faulkner) added that Lerner had put £250m into the club and has no intention of walking away.”

Now please note the last line …

that is a lie or something has changed … I think we have the answer to the £90M question.

Now Randy until the £90M had not put all the money in the trust did and that was around £90M …

Now it could be Randy has put the 90M in to pay off the trust debts.

Of course buying the club should not be included into this either so this is what I call an Ellisian lie/statement and for me Faulkner has just stated the selling price to everyone. The price is £250M and that will get Lerner some profit back because of the management fees and interest he has charged.

So if someone wants 25% of the club Randy wants £62.5M

Remember please that two months before he sold the Browns he also denied he was selling.

Game on in my view

Pat Murphy also claimed that Villa want to rebuild the North Stand, what on earth is that nonsense ? A monument to himself, the Randy Lerner Stand ?

Bad results for us this week! Add to that the untimely injury of Vlaar and the poor spending in Jan, I honestly think we will be relegated this year.

Nath with you 100% to me now l’m wondering if it to get comments on the site with what amounts to same tactics as papers, bull shit, I’m all for talking about the team and how its run, but sod the talk of selling and other how they perceived as to movement of assets or other wise. The latest link as to making money on name change is just another way clubs do make money ,by selling the name ie Villa Park, to MG Aston Villa, 60 million to do it, I don’t like it just like you, But what can you do, we have a yank that using us to do it, he don’t want a football team , he wants a Business to make more money, you don’t matter no more, but we love our club and our game of football, them yanks didn’t want our game 15 years ago, now its money to them. Fuck them force the bastard out and get our club back.

i am with u bill from one worried fan 2 another ~ trying to second guess wot some1 might or might not do. to many iffs and butts 4 me. at least wait until we are safe b4 that convo

i come here ~ 2 read football posts from fellow fans like urself. adam makes a valid point in vlaar going off injured, defence falling apart soon after he was subbed. i was confident after pool and baggies game we were finally clicking.

but lambert tries 2 fix sumat that wasn’t broke. why he thought playing ultra defensive was a good idea when facing a weakened toffee team.

sat showed PL for the poor tactician he is.. why the hell would you change the formation when we had played so well at Liverpool.. 3 CB’s when Lukaku wasn’t even around and Mirallas is no physical threat is a joke..

Playing fat man Holt upfront too.. he couldn’t wait to get his bum chum up top..

I am not 100% so could be wrong.. but wasn’t baker injured against Liverpool.. if so then i bet anything he would have played 3 CB’s in that game too..

Just do not get what PL is trying to do at times…

I hear what we are saying re the tactics on Saturday and for me lambert does make some strange moves sometimes although you’d have to say by the same measure he got the Liverpool game as right as he got the everton game wrong. id imagine he thought that no matter what dfence we put up against sturridge and suarez they would score so going deep def was never going to work and 2nd guessing Rodgers and getting it spot on the gamble paid off. he must’ve fancied us to keep a weakened everton out for the 90 mins and nick a point or 3 on the counter and tbf we nearly did and ive no doubt that vlarr going off lost us the game. then again it could’ve all been pure jam but that’s how I see lambert may have went how he did.
personally I don’t like the 3 CB system, to me if you are going to constantly invite pressure then the only eventual outcome is that the opposition will score and invariably you will loose. teams like Chelsea can pull this off but we are no Chelsea.

as for the selling rumors I jus cant speculate, or I can but until I hear something solid there’s no point.

I am still concerned for our safety btw. I seem to remember us loosing four games in a row last time vlarr was out+loosing to sheff utd at home, im sure the table would look very concerning should we repeat that kind of form for a while :/

seems like we all agree 3 centre backs when up against zero attackers (real strikers) was a mistake. i still don’t understand wot the offensive plan was saturday. i got the defensive plan

all lambert has done is turn the fans back against him, the performances at anfield and the baggies comeback won back fans, but in one big blunder hes lost team momentum and confidence along with confirming wot most fans already think. that hes tactically lacking, why else totally change winning formula

I’d rather hold out for that than be taken over.

Mind you, we all say now how shit it would be for changes to occur, for example the stadium name……I know a couple of City fans who hated the idea when it happened to them, needless to say they’ve forgot and are now enjoying their new found success…….In the end, trophies speak louder than stadium names, fact…!!!
