The start of next season, Lerner will still own the Villa, Lambert will still be manager and the useless buffoon Faulkner will still be running the Club……. Randy’s statement was more PR bullshit to deflect away from how atrocious the club has become….. No money, awful relationship with fans, championship players and now a manager that was left ‘shaken’ by the coaches he employed…. Lets all wake up and smell the coffee !

      10000000000000% totally agree

all this new owner and managers, loads of dough is nonsense. i doubt it will ever happen anytime soon. we are fighting for our lives, whether u like it or not. club and team along with lambert need ur support, whether u support the club next year is up to you. i don’t care. but if we get relegated, it will take us further back from the ground recovered by the cuts of the last 2 years.

Young experienced side who felt bullied by the coaches and the Manager left shaken (imagine them being coached by Fergie !!), then felt the fans were getting on their back… So Randy makes a shit PR statement to try and keep the fans onside and not affect the players and manager to avoid relegation… The only statement he is making is he don’t want to lose any more cash by being relegated….

I don’t know about “smell the coffee” but I’d like to know what’s in the tea that Badger was drinking before reading the leaves (page 1 of this stream).

I am also of the opinion that a manager who the players are fearful of letting down is needed. I just do not see how Lambert could tolerate the non-performance of Gabby in recent games. He left Gabby on for 90 mins then picked him to start the next game. That is not the right example.

My problem with Lambert is he is not a learner (no pun intended). Real Madrid last night showed that giving opponents 67% possession is not a failure if they cannot use it to good effect but you can hit them on the break. But there needs to be a plan B for opponents who intend to sit back and give you the ball. Villa do not have one without Benteke, because we do not have anyone on the field who can shoot hard straight and accurately from outside the area. The other option, playing Arsenal style one touch football straight through the front of the area is beyond the ball skills of anyone but Delph. or so I believe, because we have not attempted it this season.

A new manager would inherit a defence that will finish about 9th on goals conceded – surprised? So was I, but they are good enough. Priority a midfield that can bag a greater share of the ball, and more deadly finishers than Gabby or Andi.

Originallondonlion, said it once and saying it again, you know your football, Lambert does not understand the game good enough for Villa’s needs, We all know how Abonglahor has been of late but Mr Lambert chooses to ignore that fact, since Benteke been out we do not have a player to play the ball on or hold it to lay off to stretch the oppositions defence, we do not have players to read a game and see how to open up opposition defence, all in all we are useless and easy to play against, I’m putting it down to incompleteness of coaching and management plus top people like Faulkner that must know its unacceptable for Aston Villa as a football club, I relish the need to change in management as soon as possible.

i don’t understand the fuzz. passing a windbag wrapped in pigskin from one player to another. then placing it between two uprights and below the bar. couldn’t be more simple.
