QPR-Villa; a sort of preview preview.

I don’t want to step on Mr Cheese’s toes, as he’ll probably write a much better preview than I ever could, but I’ve a couple of points that I want to bring up in a more general sense.

The first is, I see some of QPR’s players have fallen victim to some sort of virus.
Do we think they’ll produce such a poor performance as we did the other week, when suffering the same?

The other one, of course, is where do we see the goals coming from?
This part seriously worries me, as it’s not a question I can answer.

Whatever, QPR haven’t been getting the results up to now, but what’s the odds we’ll end that run?

I’m worried about this game, as it’s the sort we really ought to win.
But I see it as a big possible banana skin.

Lose this and confidence will tank, at least amongst the fans, in my opinion.

Have a bad feeling we’ll sit back against them, that’s Lambert’s only tactic. As for records, we do seem to have the incredible gift for other teams to end their bad records against us, while we create new ones. As for goals? I know Weimann and Benteke can score, I know Weimann’s not likely at the moment largely because when you’re out wide playing as a Right Midfielder, not even as an out and out winger, and you’re held to far more defensive responsibility than you should be, then he won’t. It’s a matter of who’s going to set them up. We’ll get no goals from midfield, even if Delph was fit, so we have no choice to hope one of our CB’s can head in from a corner or someone can actually get the ball in a good position, deliver a good ball in and Benteke/Weimann/Gabby can get on it.

Night games in London have not been very fruitful in recent seasons. We may be relying on Richard Dunne to fire home our goal. Now he has taken the Premiership Oggie title from Martin Keowngoal, another ex Villa defender with a penchant for waving a leg in a keeper-deceiving style, he owes it to us to put daylight between himself and other walking disasters.

Lambert has promised us Sanchez – time for him to deliver. Any manager with a hint of attacking gumption would start Grealish, but Lambert isn’t any manager.

preview preview ok first i would like 2 congratulate myself for winning the coupon no i aint buying a round lol, secondary funny how results win over the ficklest of fans, hammer fans were in up roar last season, again start of this about big sam, even the board hung him out with the rats, demanding a more attacking style, bookmakers even had him as a gonna, funny old game

QPR well they played pool off the field for 1 hour, hassling um into mistake after mistake, then they ran out off juice, pool broke on them at will. so wot about us i hear the discontent already in preview preview only a few posts.but i agree the manager should be hung drawn and quartered. like big sam, but seeing how, i don’t make up the laws for a good reason. i will back the team, who if they stand firm for the onslaught of the first half, i think villa will be returning to winning ways in style. most of you forget lambert while being the most hated man on this forum, has gotten results when its really needed,

rangers might already have given up, they put the heart and souls in the pool game, but if they put the same commitment into this monday nite, its gonna be one hell of a game, aston villa lacked the belief last time, but i think they will actually go 4 it monday.

rangers1 VTID 3 first goalscorer BENTEKE

slap a tenner on this, iam on a roll

Nath what world are in?, for god sake kid, you have been picking up on what I’ve said about WestHams manager, I’ve have in the past agreed in you saying give him time, Enough, again Enough, you are letting Villa down by making excuse after excuse, for Villa, you would disappear if if we lose and pop up if we win, Nath be a Villa fan and admit its time to be a fan and say we are a laugh to the league at this time of the season. Don’t be a person that if someone knocked on your door and said your lad did that ,no my lad wouldn’t do that. Villa are a laugh, and saying that because I care. My heart is Villa I was born in Aston my home is a museum to Villa, I want my club back as it was with no excuse ,I live here Nath, you don’t.

for lambert 2 stay in villa job after 2 worst seasons on records, isn’t cos nobody listens to you. its DOWN to a owner that knows nothing off the game, and he hired a chief ex who also knew LESS than lerner.

ALL THE BITCHING posting INSULTS aint goona change a fooking thing, only for my point of view its so boring reading the same post week in week out

You don’t tell me what to do Nath, I will reply,I know you will read it, Villa have a massive problem , you place the blame on fans that voice opinion, you make innuendo to others for not agreeing with you, have you ever heard your self, I believe your a Manx ,or live in that part of the world, I live daily with Villa fans and hear every day what they think, you just read, and then think you know the answer, you don’t Nath. Villa are bad and will not get better with that idiot. Enough said, ask any. Villa fan.

bill you the touchy one ~ just cos we sometimes say same or different doesn’t mean either us is right ~ it only improves the discussions.

as for lambert i have said enough on this topic 🙁 i can’t keep repeating the same shit, i am sick of giving him last chance but hey i av no choice, the only silver lining is this fox. if he is lerners new adviser. then we have to wait for him to come to the same conclusions.

Attack attack attack! That’s all I ask. Sick of the nothing passes in our own half, leave two up top on the last man all game and change the mentality so that we aren’t getting ten men behind the ball all the time. Time for change no excuses

Well his first season he played quite attacking but the defence was shite. Now that’s sorted to an extent lets give it a go again we might actually realise we can be an exciting team. I don’t think he will though because he’s a stubborn twat

Its time we played Benteke and Weimann up top and actually show some positive thinking instead of this 4-5-1 stuff that we have seen. We will miss Delph but hopefully Sanchez can step up to the grade (although what are the odds that Lambert bottles playing him and puts Richardson in again). Maybe its also time for Grealish to get a start…

Hi Guys, getting a bit fruity on here last night 🙂 Now don’t all shout at me (‘cos I’m a sensitive sort) but I would like to see us play a diamond formation with Sanchez sitting and Cole at the point with Cleverley and Westward the other two. Tekkers and Weimann up front definitely that’s where Weimann played all his best football. OK now you can all shout at me LOL

I think that we’ll get at least a point tomorrow.

We started fairly well against Everton but just didn’t have any answer once they stepped it up, and when they scored, you could just feel the crowd had given up never mind the team, but the support was fantastic.

QPR are a poor side and if we take the game to them, I think that Benteke can terrorise them and bring others into the game. Fancy Cleverley to run the show, first of the ‘weaker’ sides that he’ll have played.

It will show us what sort of season we have ahead of us, a decent win commanding the game, and a top half finish or better is still on.

A dismal display and a defeat, we’re in it again, which I couldn’t have pictured after the Anfield performance.

    Fingers crossed, up the Villa.

For some strange reason i think we will get at least a draw tomor and prob a win. Mainly as they have no pace and we can can counter them as the away team

Hope Senderos is fit – didn’t realise he and Vlaar have only played 3 games together – reckon if they’re both fit we can do QPR. So your mate’s a Bluenose in the Windies is he Hitchens? You might like to tell him this. My mate’s a Bournemouth fan whose had the Saints in his office shouting 8-0 all week after tonking Blunderland at home. So what do the Cherries do? Go to St Andrews and win 8-0 away. He is looking forward to work tomorrow. Your pal might need to snort some of your spare coke.
