Aston Villa’s forgotten right-back, Alan Hutton may actually be on the move this January. Three Premier League clubs are considering making a bid for Alan Hutton as Norwich, Stoke and Fulham hope to boost their defence this transfer window.
Hutton went out on loan last season to Nottingham Forest and Mallorca but a move could wasn’t materialised with a Mallorca and a few Spanish sides interested in the Scotsman services. Despite being frozen out by Paul Lambert, Hutton continues to play as right-back for Scotland.
I hope for the sake of Hutton that he’ll move. Aston Villa are desperate to sell and Hutton is desperate to move. If there is any solid interest, he’ll surely be off. During the summer Aston Villa were holding out for 1 million, I believe a similar figure will be requested for Hutton’s services. With Ireland already off, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see another out-of-favour player leave Aston Villa this summer.
He’ll definitely not move to Norwich, I’m fairly confident if Norwich doesn’t want to do business with Aston Villa, Aston Villa won’t want to do business with Norwich. Fulham in particularly need to improve their defence so I reckon a move to London seems the most likely.
