POLL; Has Lambert lost the plot?

Ok, so I had the hump earlier, which was why I couldn’t be bothered to write a proper opinion of the game today.

But having thought about things, I’m beginning to have serious concerns with regards to Paul Lambert.
Now I know many on here don’t like him, but he does still have his supporters who can see further than I can.

My opinion says Lambert is in over his head and the job is simply too big for him.
Reasons?

1) Poor substitutions. Enough said. Has anyone anywhere ever complimented any of his changes? (as it happens, I think I did once at the back end of last season, but you know what I mean).

2) Either the whole squad is poor or he just refuses to change things up when players are out of form, which suggests he has favourites.

3) The football has regressed. I was never madly convinced about our finish to last season, as we played some real dross teams, but whatever, I think we’re mostly agreed that the footy of late is dire. Nearly as dire as under you know who.

4) Whenever we do beat someone, it’s never convincing as in we easily deserved to win (this season anyway).

5) He’s quite simply the definition of “boring” when he does his interviews. That and the fact that you can hardly understand what he’s saying.

Lambert looks like a rabbit caught in headlights to me and I really don’t think he knows what the answers are (better players apart).

But that’s just my opinion.
I’d be interested to know what you think.

🙂 lmao things were never going to change overnight, last season is what villa will be judged on. so those that thought we were going to run away with champions league spot, after wining at arsenal think again. top ten position is up 4 grabs, we are a improvement on last year so lets stop acting like girls and judging new players b4 they av chance 2 settle is not good ~ Kozak has not long been tossed in2 the side now benteke is back he will be eased in ~ also take in2 accounts players missed delph and gabby weimann of at half time

ps I don’t know why I bothered 2 write this gabbage but I figured even with a barrel inside me it will make more sense than half of the above lmao ltrs much ltrs

Quality Oohah – ‘defence has improved not because we defend better’.

We do defend better as well especially in the middle but are still awful on the flanks

We’ve kept a clean sheet in our last three away games.

We hadn’t kept one for over a year.

But as a side, we are not improving ?

We also havnt scored for over 4 games either. Typical lamberk solves one problem and creates another! Btw it was lamberts team that went nearly a year without a clean sheet in the first place though I’m sure you think it’s Dr Venglos fault!!

Can’t afford any more youngsters in the team we need some experience. Scoring for youth team means nothing remember the moores

But we can’t buy until Jan so may as well blood them in now for a few weeks otherwise they turn 21 and don’t progress because they have hardly featured like the fonz and bannan etc get them playing when they’re 17,18 and they will progress much quicker.

So 75% of readers of this site think that Lambert is ok for the time being.

That tells me that those motivated to post aren’t representative of the Villa support.

I’ve felt that talking to lads on the train to away games etc, but it’s nice to see it in black and white.
