News? What news?

I’ve got to be honest, there’s nothing really going on, is there?
It’s mainly more about players leaving than coming in and the truth is it makes sense that we get rid of the over-paid and under-used players like N’zog and Gabby.

Sendoros is another good example and while I don’t recall what he was being paid, you can bet your boots it’s been a fortune while he hasn’t even had a squad number.
Just another classic case of how the Villa seem to get everything wrong over the last few years.

Not that I blame the player.
He seemed to perform to a fair level and was perfectly within his rights to stay and take the money, but I note his contract was terminated via mutual agreement.
I wonder what that cost us? as you can bet it wouldn’t have been for free.

We’re apparently still in for the goalie and are trying a second appeal to the FA, if I read the story correctly (my eyes gloss over at any story that involves us buying players, if I’m honest).
Which all smacks of the club trying to look like it’s doing it’s best, but ultimately knowing it’s bound to fail.
No doubt Deadly’s advising on this front, as he’s the grandmaster at that game, isn’t he?

There are other stories about how we’re going to splash the cash, but we all know it isn’t going to happen and at best we might get a couple of lesser names in, just to make it look good. Which is all well and good, but will they actually improve the squad? I doubt it.

And then there’s assistant manager Peter Grant under Mcleish’s tenure calling us fans “delusional”.
To which I’d just say “Who?”
Clear off you mug.
We don’t need anyone who was partly responsible for some of the worst football I’ve ever seen commenting on us fans.
What a nerve!

And anyway, I don’t believe we are delusional.
Unless expecting a club of our size and standing, to be better than relegation material is classed as such.
