We cannot get rid of Sherwood for Moyes – That would make us even more of a laughing stock than we already are. Sociedad don’t want him for goodnes sake, that speaks for itself

Whilst I am not a big fan of chopping and changing the manager so quickly, just look at Leeds, I cannot see any other option. If you recall, at the end of last season Sherwood stated that he wanted to rid the club of the “losing mentality” that was quite evident. This may have been why he was happy for both Delph and Benteke to leave as they were part of a negative set up. However, the losing mentality has continued in abundance and Sherwood’s normal brash and sometimes cocky nature is nowhere to be seen. I am of the belief that his inexperience is costing us greatly. Some of his tactical decisions have been woeful. The Leicester City game said it all for me. Two-nil up and everyone expecting the home team to really have a go, we could all see that he should have brought on someone to protect the back four. Instead he brought on that “headless chicken” that is Ayew and…well you know the rest. I am not certain that Gary Monk would be any better. What we need is a manager that can address the immediate concerns of relegation and then review it from there. Various names are being tossed in to the mix. Here is what I think. And don’t forget people, it’s all about opinion so there’s no need to throw personal insults at me.

Tim Sherwood – Has to go
Bob Bradley – Has no experience of Premier League football so would be a risk
Gary Monk – Has done well at Swansea but is still very young in management so it is too early to tell how good a manager he is.
Personally, I would not mind us appointing either David Moyes or Brendan Rodgers. Both have been unsuccessful in their most recent jobs but with those being at Man Utd and Liverpool, the expectancy at those clubs is much greater and success is demanded almost instantly. Both, however have done well at so called “smaller” clubs on a lower budget. I know Moyes is not making great strides in Spain but I think we are just the right sort of club for either. One thing is for certain, win or lose against Swansea, Sherwood has to go.

Don’t care who any more so long as he can kick some arses and put some round pegs in some round holes.

Not too much to ask is it?

He had this to say about Brentford “I think the manager has to pick the team and have the final say, in my opinion. I think there’s going to be a much greater emphasis on mathematical modelling than currently.”
So with that as a backdrop and with the present regime in charge at VP I’d say the chances of him getting through the door where pretty slim.
